Anael--Sorry to hear of the sick kitty...maybe it was the gold shimmer in the Christmas quilt? Hope not and that it was just the parsley.

Dublb--good news that DMIL is eating and especially that the hospital was willing to work with you on the food.

QNS--glad to hear your weather will be nicer today. We had lots of fog Sunday morning, but it cleared off and was a nice day...today is supposed to be more of the same and 67 for a high! Very unusual for December!

Mirabelle--I will be anxiously awaiting your pretty package.

School time....

I'm so sleepy. We didn't git a sitter, so last night was a rough one. DMIL had several fever spikes & kept tryin' ta take her oxygen mask off. Her blood pressure is high too. I did git her ta eat a bowl o' cream o' wheat, th'smornin'. DH is w/her now & I'm gonna take a nap as soon as my eggs are boiled. (I'm hungry too.)

Hi, just checking up on everyone and glad to see those that were ill are on the mend...

Anael, there's a new video out about twins still in the womb interacting with each other....very interesting...very similar to your situation...

I have 2 totally different patterns in mind for the Bblocks... I'm very much on the fence about which one to do...

Going to visit my sister in DE...DH is going to...We're going to do dinner out one night and will also attend a Christmas Play at her Church the next evening...I will get some shopping done inbetween...I am looking forward to this little diversion....
Stay well all of you...the Holidays can be hectic...don't overdo and stress yourselves out...whatever has to be done today will still be there tomorrow for you to do.. peace. H.

I'm with Anne! I've picked out two patterns for the Bblocks also, but have not decided which one to do yet. I'm having trouble finding the fabric I had in mind too. Everything I look at has too large a print! Too bad I can't just put it in the copier and shrink it! LOL

I have a pattern and two choices of color cut out today...now to decide who gets which color! Decisions...decisions...decisions...many different colors maybe...for each one uniquely different!

I had all the fabric I needed right here, but I must admit I agonised over which pattern to do.

After much deliberation my first choice did not make the grade, not because it was not a nice pattern just that it would not have suited those that are going to put it into their quilt SO onto choice number 2 but it did not suit the fabric I wanted to use. Choice number 3 made the grade and once I started piecing them together I couldn't stop

Just home from the Post Office so they are on their way yippee.

Now it is back to Jamestown Landing, I will have the top finished before Christmas (well that's the plan anyway)

I'm home for a break. I do have my fabric & have chosen which will be my background & what I'm gonna use for the foreground. I had planed ta work on 'em in Brady. Sigh...That's life. I'm takin' it one day at a time.

I'm sorry for everyone's troubles whether with family or pets. I've always said life is a balance and when there are bad days the good ones will make up for them. You just weather the storm
So I'm not the only one who has been debating about what block (s) to make. Well that's a relief! This is an after Christmas project for me. BTW, I sew fast!!! Put the pedal to the metal, I do.
Emily was here on Saturday. She wanted to sew again, so I got out the squares I have cut out of GGPa's old shirts. She made all the 4P's from the quilt design everyone here likes. Then placed larger squares onto the bed in spare room. My turn now to get the black sashing and border. She picked out the fabric for the border from my stash as well. I think we will tie this as she can help with that. This is to be a gift for DH's sister. I also took the front of one shirt (Western style, pearl buttons) and the back of another to make a rectangular pillow. Emily sewed the f&b together on Sat as well. She was happy as a clam.

Carrie, next workshop will be a shop full! Nice table runner BTW.

I've been lurking and the sewing machine has been humming. I have two UFO's ready to bind which I will finish up today and those headers and Enders have really been adding up. It makes me feel so productive. QNS...I'm sorry about the mat. I had been looking at electrical ones for small animals and didn't notice that this one wasn't electrical. You probably would be happier to return it and just use a heading pad on the floor with some carpet scraps. Jan...yes the Doak's book does have a CD but I haven't taken the time to look at it. Dubib...I do hope you get some rest and that you DMIL is feeling better. Growing old is not easy on anyone in the family! Anael...I'm glad you intend to sew with us for the next 10 years. You do such beautiful work. It's a nice treat for you to keep the Christmas quilt. Honchey...we're behaving on the trail. Can you say the same with your trip to DE? How much damage did you see in that area? It sounds like everything has changed in the coast thanks to Sandy. Mirabelle...with your organization and sewing speed, I'm certain you will have Jamestown done before Christmas. I can't wait to see the blocks. Carrie....don't peak at Mirabelle's blocks until you have yours all done or you might second guess what you're doing. Jeanie...I have the second step of Easy Street done. It was fun to dive into the purples and the rulers as well as Bonnie's tips of quilt cam gave me some of the best flying geese ever. Love learning something new. OKSEw...Emily is one lucky little girl! I'm sure this experience with you will spur her creativity on for the rest if her life. It's worth every moment you take. I want to see how many more UFO's I can get done this month so my BB's are also an end if the month project. I do have most of them cut out and a few stitched together. QuiltE...how many flowers will bloom during your week at the Royal? Enjoy the cows. Are you manning a booth again?

I have just come home from grocery shopping, not my favourite pasttime, and the temperature has hit 35 and it is only 9am. I converted it to Farenheit and it is 95, the humidity is around 70%. I feel like I am melting.
Guess where I am spending the afternoon, in my sewing room with the aircon humming away.

Must dash the groceries won't put themselves away.

Carrie you have my permission to peek
