Did I tell you my BB are all done? I hope to get them to the postoffice today!
My Bernina was giving me fits! I called the dealer and we figured out what was wrong so now it's working properly again. I'm glad it didn't have to go back. On the positive side: I'm learning to sew 1/4" seams with my Brother

I will take some more vitamins and my energy tablet LOL It didn't keep me awake last night so I might do that again I feel my head is stuffed with how knows what

OK finally got these pic sent to me..
First a little history..
Molly is a member of our Machine Embroidery Club, having joined shortly after the passing of her DH 2 1/2 years ago. She would sit in the corner and bead or do crazy patch and we always told her she should buy an embroidery machine. Well I think we planted an idea in her head but she couldn't afford a machine so thought she could do the same sort of thing exploring thread art technique with her sewing machine.

Her first piece was a drawing of a group of Masai warriors and it was stunning,, SO we encouraged her to submit a piece of her work for the BIG Melbourne Quilt Show. Molly being Molly and always doubting herself wasn't happy with her first piece of work so made another and submitted both. They were both accepted into this juried show. She walked away with Viewers Choice for her Emu quilt and an honorable mention for her other work.

Fast forward 12 months and she is ready to submit another piece of her work into the Sydney Quilt Show. She brought it along today and I must admit that while drooling over this work I got goosebumps.

She hand dyes all her background fabric, draws a very rough idea of where she wants things and then sits at her sewing machine and creates this art work.

I hope you enjoy it

Mirab, that is absolutely awesome!! I've always hand embroidered but never considered doing it by machine. I would love to learn. I'm totally blown away by that!!!

Happy anniversary, Bev-enjoy your time together.

Going back to bed. Damn flu bug is back.

Now take 1 c. of butter, put it in a sauce pan and melt it, then take it off and cool. Add 1 1/4 c brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar and whip until creamed set in the refrigerator & chill for about 10 minutes. Remove and stir in an egg white, egg yoke, and 1 teasp. vanilla. Combine dry ingredients: 2 c. flour, 1 c. uncooked oats, 1/2 teas. soda, salt, 1/2 teas. cinnamon, 1 c. white chocolate chips and 1 c chocolate chips. Mix together with wet ingredients, roll by hand into 24 medium sized balls and place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.. chill for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 325 degrees, place cookies in oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes. If you have the patience to do all this, results will speak for itself.
