Oh well I guess I need a hew head! I went shopping and completely forgot to shop for the cookie ingredients I'm not going out again!

BTW, I didn't send the BB yesterday, will try and do that next Monday.

Jeanie, I used a small box that a book came in to mail my BB altho I think a padded envelope would have worked just as well. I didn't know what the postage would be so I just guessed and put a check in. The recipe you posted for the pull-apart bread is one of my favorites. I use frozen bread instead of biscuits. Yum--gotta make some.

Yay! We're supposed to hit 65* today! I can finally take down my outdoor Christmas lights. Our whole neighborhood still looks like Christmas since we got so much snow and cold since. I have a large cement dog out front and his Santa hat is drooping down over his face since we've had so much rain. Kinda looks drunk. I got him a Valentine's Day bandana (and one for Patches, too) so that's his next outfit. (My neighbors think I'm nuts LOL).

JanRN ... By chance a dalmation too? Exactly something I would do, if I had one ... clothes for every season. We need pics of your cement dog with his drunken state, then his in-love Valentine's look!!! I probably should do the outdoor Christmas lights today too, while the going's good.

When I have mailed things for swaps in the past, I wait to seal the box until I find out what the postage is and then include cash or check for the same amount or round up to the nearest dollar. I am fine with either.

If you don't have a padded envelope, you could use thin cardboard (like a cereal box) to keep the blocks flat and put in one of those "plastic" envelopes...can't think what they are called. That is how Mirabelle sent hers and they arrived safely from AUS.

Jan--don't over-do it today out side! Make sure to get a little help from MrJanRN.

Off to archery this morning and then hopefully sewing this afternoon. It is in the mid-30s today, but supposed to cool off again tomorrow.

So much to catch up on...good to hear from you Honchey. What a vacation...to have the things you enjoy in ready abundance!
dubib...happy anniversary. Sounds like the visit to the LQS could be very significant.
All...you can get shipping envelopes at the post office very reasonably and I've also seen them at Walmart.
mirabelle...Molly must have a lot of fun creating her masterpieces. Thanks for sharing.
Anael...Ann Fahl has several books on thread art. I've seen some of her work at a quilt show. Pictures don't do them justice. Hope you're feeling better.
QNS...Froggy doesn't want you to get lonely. I've been doing a little of that too.
QuiltE...your talk about GFG got me inspired and I just spent part of my Amazon gift card on a book called Pieced Hexies. Wasn't quite what I expected but really some unusual ideas which are really unique. Maybe....!
Jan...one relapse already...how many patients do you see more than once because they don't follow the Drs orders? Don't let the warm weather fool you into doing more than you should. Remember...24 hours without a temperature or medication before you're really out of the woods.
Enough half square triangles done yesterday to finish the center and corner units of 10 ocean wave blocks. This was going to be a header/ended project but I needed a couple of blocks for my class in a couple of weeks and I got sucked in. The most tedious part is cutting all of those little suckers out. It's getting better with practice and I've added a paper guide on my machine to assist my quarter inch piecing foot so things are getting more truly square without trimming or pulling. Meanwhile the BBs on the design wall are looking abandoned with nothing going on. So little to do to finish them up...that's exactly why I keep putting them off I think. The good thing about it is that I think of all of you often! Have a great day, everyone!

JanRN, makes sense to 'dress' a dog outside; I have seen a duck or goose outside that people change into different costumes here, but not me yet...I do think we need a picture. But don't get yourself too tired...take care. We enjoy your comments and recipes on the PC trail.

Aneal, no stressing about the recipes; like our quilting, its all done for fun...except our tummies enjoy the food. Our bodies and spirits enjoy the quilts. I keep telling myself: one stitch at a time. Once the BB are done, we have to admit our PC trail ride is over, done. Not sure I want that yet. But I know its coming to be, but gee its been so much fun!! Have a great day, everyone, and smile.

............. better get out and get those ingredients and make those cookies for DGS!!!
(and then tell us all about how wonderful they are!)

I can gladly report that I now have all my outside decorations inside getting dried off. Strings of lights, inflatable snowman, candy cane lights, hanging stockings, crashed Santa, oversized presents. It was balmy and not raining. Though working with all the wet stuff my fingers were getting mighty frigid!

The only "Christmas" left out are my driveway markers (electric fence stakes covered with candy canes). They stay til the snow flies for the tractor and snowblower to stay on the laneway and not chew up my lawn! .... and for other people who can't aim well!

Live wreaths stay on the doors as do the milk cans you saw filled with boughs. One of these days I'll change their bows to something more winter-like ... perhaps a blue? I don't know! Just need to find what I want!!!

JanRN ... how have you and MrJanRN made out? Thanks for the inspiration to get out there and "Just Do It"!!

No QuiltE, I won't go shopping anymore today. He will have his 'tietsa' tomorrow but no cookies. Making dinner now (for a change LOL) and will watch a movie tonight, with my kitty as she always comes and sits on my lap when I watch a movie.
