Tiny indeed!
Get some rest today and enjoy your visits tomorrow .... and birthday celebration for your DS too.

I'm hoping and praying for another miracle like my friend received with a little girl the same size ... she's now almost two years old, cute as can be, and talk about an active little one!!!

Anael ... I had left my card to send today, knowing they would not be printed til tomorrow. I just checked out the site, and am now wondering if the fill in the blank part for what section of the hospital she is in, might have changed, and that I should address it to a different area?

I am so behind on your chitchat ladies--but I did catch Anael's baby news. Congratulations Oma. Peace to the little Julian and prayers for Isa and Bram.
Almost ready for the accountant on Wednesday. In between we've had the flu and when there are 5 little ones it makes it harder. Thank goodness the adults were sick at different times. Allowed us to stagger responsibilities whether human or animal. DIL was wondering how many times a little one can vomit as she changed her clothes 5x in about 4 hours with Sam (2 yo). Regardless of the fact he had thrown up 4x when he was at my house! Well onward to better times.
Next Saturday is the kids' school lasagna supper FR. With 3 grands in school there I'm making a table topper or wall hanging for each. Yesterday finished the flimsies for 2 of them and hope to get the third top done today. Then back to the office. So here's what they look like in case I don't get pics of the finished items.
1. Bubblegum stars--which binding the stripe or the brown?
2. Thinking Spring with binding preference

Okay back to what pays the bills and eventually I will catch up to everyone's news!

OK--those are some great projects! I like the brown binding for the pink one...it is a nice frame.

Ditto, I agree with Carrie. How many members started the PC with us??? Many more than the 13 of us finishing , I think, but it was that way with the FWQ too...still waiting for Cripple Creek to call me saying, 'Pick up your FMQ; its done!!' Am still trying to target Tuesday as mailing day for BB and adopted gds...will see what happens...I go pick up the 14 bb tomorrow and chicken feed that is not sold for 'chicken feed cash'...much higher.

Worked on dh's AIL throw today only to fail to find a darning needle in the sewing room to tie it like it was before, so that goes on the list to get tomorrow in town to do tomorrow afternoon. Did manage to save and reuse the top that she loved so much, put a double layer of 80/20 cotton & poly batting in it and almost completed the fleece 9-block to put around her shoulders.

Turning much colder here, but don't think it will hit zero...just almost. Oh, well, we have warm hearts and warm feet...at least inside. It is that time of year here.

Anael,

It is difficult to know what to say. I am a grandma of a preemie and it is exciting to have them born, but also worrisome at times. I know how strong and supportive you have been and I wish you continued strength and comfort as the days unfold.
Take good care of yourself. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Anael...you've been in my thoughts and prayers all day and that does include the tiny new ones. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself well and healthy. That sounds so trite but stress is so hard on bodies and emotions too.

oksewglad I love the pink heart fabric you have used in Bubblegum Stars, what a cute name.

OKSGlad ... What a nice pair of minis for the fundraiser. I'm with the others, and see the brown binding as being a nice frame on your Bubblegum Mini. Like the spring touch of the other one. Hope all your "brood" gets and stays well now. Good Luck with the accountant this week! And then once both are over, hopefully you can be back here with us more.

Thanks Anael ... will get my card away and ready for tomorrow's printing. Today now for you, so maybe not ready on time?

Here's how I spent my weekend!!!
And guess what? I had forgotten how easily a quilt goes together. I started cutting fabric yesterday afternoon, for this quilt for my "adopted" Great Niece. Anael, she was a preemie too, but not near so tiny!
It's a baby quilt, and currently at about 40"x50".
A question for you Ladies ... Do I do border(s)? or stop here? Except for the white, I am out of fabric and would have to introduce another pink, or perhaps a black?

Hey QE! Is the black your design board? Although it looks nice I think black gives a somber look to the quilt. After all it's for a child! Adding more border and you may get to the point of using more than a width of fabric for the backing (Oh My-my practical nature is setting in) White on the edge of a child's quilt--oh the dirt will show. For binding can you look through your stash for a soft blue to pull the blue out of the bear blocks? Time to call it a night. Later.G
