Nice to see you here Laurie. You've got a lot of reading to do.

The twins had a quiet night. They had to stabilize Isa's bloodpressure once but otherwise they slept without any problems. My DDIL will come home today!

Anael every day they will grow stronger, there are so many people praying for them. As each day passes I feel a little less anxious when I see that you have posted.

Hugs to you and your family

Bev, each day is a miracle indeed! My DS and DDIL had another meeting with the neonatologist before going home. I didn't hear from them yet so I hope everything is ok.

I've just seen Bram and Isa on live stream. The hospital has a feature called 'telebaby', you can log in on their system, there are camera's in the ceiling of the NICU (neo intensive care unit) and this way you can see Bram or Isa. Bram was busy with his hands, he's always fiddling with his tubes.

Hi Laurie...nice to have you drop by. I'm doing my PC quilt at QAYG and 5 rows are on the design wall waiting....the actual quilting is not where my skills or interest lay so I'm easily distracted. This particular thread has become a lot of just keeping up with each others lives as we put the PC together. It will probably go on for awhile as the last of the posse makes it to the end if the trail. A great group of ladies!
Anael...now neat that you can "visit" you little ones whenever you want to! I'm glad that they are progressing so well.
Dubib...you'll have to show us how your new machine works. Have fun!
Jan....are you quilting with your new machine? How is it working for you?

WOOHOO yesterday was above freezing to bad that means a storm front rolling in!

we had a busy day with outside chores, FINALLY got the truck out of the ditch!!! LOL it is amazing how 40 feels WARM enough to work in only shirtsleeves

HI LAURIE!!!!

QuiltE
Baby blanket batting..... for a quilt that will be used daily all year round I use a cotton batt, 80/20 is good also. for babies in cold regions like our I usually make two quilts, a thinner cotton and a thick poly.

CarrieM ... oh such good news with your latest delivery! Let me guess, crisp white and clear colours? Lovely!!!!

Anael ... your blocks are always so cheerful, because of the fabrics you use! Now isn't that exciting to see the Isa and bram via TeleBaby!!!!!! Oh the wonders of technology. Each day is a big step for these wee ones.

MiraB ... Good to see the sun out, despite the humidity. Just and out with your a/c and sew your ♥ out to ignore that nasty humidity! I hate it terribly so, but in the midst of this cold snap, it's a pleasant thought!

QNSue ... great new quilt for AIL! The fleece backing will make it a very light yet nice and warm and cozy too.

MercysLand ... so glad to have you come and join us on the trail ride, Laurie! A year ago now, I was coming to the finish of my FWS and now am doing the same for my Miniature Pony! I know that I am going to look forward to your comments and insights, as I am sure many of the others will be too. So sit back and have a pot of cofffee or tea ... and trot yourself thru the threads, inspired by yourself. We couldn't have done this without you ... or made as many great friends! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I'll 2nd Mirab's comments and question, asking what's next? *hint* go thru all the PC threads and subscribe to them, before you read thru them all. That way, you can catch any of the updates as they come! Life happened and I sat in the corral for a long time, but am back in the saddle, posting blocks as I get them done.

GGal ... every stitch will help you get better and more confident with your quilting. I know I do ... though I don't think I am ready to go for it with the PC yet. I'll see how I feel when I get at the baby quilt.

GGal and JanRN ... as a thought re your tightness. I find that when I am quilting, I need my chair a little higher than when I am piecing. I was surprised at the difference it made, as it helps get the ergonomics a little better and settles down my shoulders. If your chair doesn't go any higher, try a pillow or two to boost you up a bit and see if it helps. Once I figured that out, I bought a drafting chair ... the lowest setting is about the highest of a regular office adjustable chair.

Yeehaw!
... Two more blocks completed last night ... later today you'll be able to check the Little Piggy that went to Market and dive into some ice cream!

DDamsel ... hey ... we posted at the same time! ENJOY that heat!! ... looks like it's heading this way and bringing rain too. Bet those puppies are getting cuter by the day!!

Thanks for the input re the batting ... I like quilting with the W+N better than the poly, though I thought maybe for babies people liked the poly and it's puffy look, to say the least about the light-weight of it. So I'm not wrong in using W+N?

Others ... any input about the battings, before I go there?

Another question .... sandwiching?
Have any of you done the "on the wall" sandwiching method. I've read all about it, and understand the how to. What I want to know now ... what goes wrong? is it a good method? or a road I should not go down?

Or what other methods do you do, to get it all put together?

Til now, I have been able to do it on a table, but tables limit the size, so instead of more tables, I'm considering other options. The floor is NOT an option!! ....

What do you Ladies do?
