OksewGlad, your Missouri guest picked a good weather day to show up!! Wonder where they are from, Columbia?

Yes, DD, we are staying warm thanks to MFA who delivered our propane right before the storm. Animals are all under shelter and doing fine. What do you all do with the cows, OksewGlad?? Heated shed?

Hope the other Iowans and everyone is doing fine, GrannyQ, Carrie, and JanRN in Pennsylvania, Honchey on the East coast...Canadian neighbors, too, probably are all wishing they were visiting California and Texas like I am???

Great news on our SewGrands Anael, and really darling hats and smocks you are making. You have been one very busy grandma with all that sewing. The babies must be so comfy in all that soft flannel!

Anael ... ooooh chocolate! Yes, I am sure the loss of the NICU baby last night would be hard on all of you, and make you all the more happy as to how well the SewGrands are doing. And look at all the sewing you have been doing for them and their BIG brother! Sew Cute! Too long of a day today, so no more births in the barnyard!

JanieW ... so good to know you are back! What a great DH you have ... I remember you saying how he was the one who nudged you over the edge and into the land of PC! Sweet that the other Grands miss you!

OKSGlad ... hope the snoop troop liked what you had, and took the consignments! Now to wait and see how they do in the sale! ITA with your DH ... once we are thru February, the storms never seem to last so long. Kind of like, here today, and gone tomorrow. Not quite, but with the longer days, it seems gentler.

DDamsel ... careful as you drool over that thread, or you won't be able to use it! I've built quite a nice little thread stash which I'm looking forward to having on hand, instead of needing to go shopping as it's needed. Hope all goes well in your home with all your extras. And hope it gives you more sewing time, instead of taking from it.

Moi? ... as mentioned above no sewing for me today/tonight. Though after supper I did sit down to calculate how much fabric I might need for our BB Quilt! I pulled out a few pieces from my stash this morning to get an idea as to what might work, and what might not. Now I will know if any of them have enough ... or if I MUST go on a FART! Terrible thing, I know!

Tomorrow/Saturday off to an auction with a few dairy items ... so long as the weather holds. It's been kind of iffy today, off and on ... and uncertain about overnight and tomorrow.

Til after the sale .......... Toodles for now!

Another day w/goodnews about the Sewgrands! Is it just me, but are the goodnews days gittin' ta be more than the bad news days?
I had sew much ta say tanight ta each o' ya & have forgotten it all. I guess I'm a bit tired.
I went ta the "Sit N Sew" taday. As I left I grabbed a ziplock baggie w/a PC block in it. When I got there I realized that it was missin' a piece. I haven't opened it since last fall. I was able ta git most o' it done. I sure hope that I find that other piece, 'cause I don't want ta have ta cut another one.
While there I bought some black ta use w/my BB's. I will cut it inta 8" blocks & set 'em checkerboard style. #2Dson is gonna draw a celtic knot for me ta hand quilt in these black blocks. I guess I need ta make myself a BB just like what I sent ya'll ta make the # o' blocks work out. I also picked out..............color o' fabric ta make..............'s mystery block. 4 FQ's'll do it

It's not just you Bev, there's more good days than bad days.
Isa was taken off the ventilator yesterday afternoon and is breathing on her own. She had a quiet night. Bram is doing ok too. We're still waiting for the testresults. The nurses can't say anything but last night they told my DS the doctors expect the test to be negative too. That would be another celebration!!! Tonight the SewGrands will be 5 weeks old! I realized last night Bram will have doubled his birthweight within a few days from now or he even might have already! Isn't that a wonderful achievement?

Ok is someone keeping tabs on me.... 18 hours since I made an appearance I have been busy stitching in the ditch on DD's Card Tricks, wow were there a lot of seams. Used 6 bobbins, it will have to wait for the free motion quilting as I have other things that need to be done.

This afternoon DS took me to the movies and we saw Hansel and Gretel --- not bad --- then home to feed the dogs and I made us an omelette and salad for dinner. DH rang me after dinner to check in, there is a big storm about to hit the mine site so they have to shut down the pit..

Great news on the twins Anael.

No BB's for me, will have to wait until Monday to start stalking the postman again don't worry girls you will probably hear me squeal when they arrive, or my neighbours will think I have lost the plot..

Anael...continuing good news....and such beautiful little smocks and hats! Mick will have a hard time deciding which side of the pillow to use.
OK...20 fewer mouths to feed. That can be good. Your herd has a good reputation to be sought out for consignment. Potatoe soup sounds good.
DD...your sound like you are way out in the country. Reminds me of when I was growing up. There were just certain times of the year we could count on walking. No 4 wheel drives then!
Jeanie....hats off to you for getting your beautiful Easy Street done! Mine is in the drawer. I have the PC to finish borders and binding and then another UFO in my design wall to out together before I get to it. I'm trying real hard to do a better job of finishing things up this year.
Mirabelle...I guess I'm so new to quilting that I never considered FM after doing stitch in the ditch. And yes....we do keep track of each other although I've never gone to the hours missing.
QNS...you hens are good producers which tells me that your DH gives them exceptional care.
Dubib...hope you found the piece to your block. I got home the other day and found I had cut one of my pieces wrong so have to start that block over. I love it when I get blocks cut ahead and I can spend time piecing...my very favorite activity!
JanR...speaking of keeping track....haven't heard from you in a while. I trust you and yours are OK. Did your DM's house sell?
Honchey...did you get the rain or snow from this last storm?
QuiltE....aren't auctions fun? Don't freeze your feet for the outside part!
we only got a light dusting of snow but then an ice storm so they shut the schools yesterday. Today the sun is shining and the roads are clear. This snow will melt in the next couple of days and be ready for more next week. Winter is slowly giving into spring here.

The incubators were empty this afternoon meaning both were cuddled So they're stable otherwise no cuddling!

It's quite windy here and so quite cold too. I only had to go out to get rid of my garbage, otherwise I'm in sewing! Tomorrow we celebrate Mick's 2nd birthday (it's on the 25th actualy). Can't believe he will be 2 years old! Time flies!!!
I will let you know what he thinks of his new pillow.
