Honchey ... yup, I have that deadline firm in my mind! How we all adapt to the new technology ... I just couldn;t get used to the knee lift for a long time and just last night I was thinking, how I would never want to be without it now. Just 2nd nature! Likewise the needle up/down and the thread cutter. I keep drooling over new machine possibilities.

JanRN (bless you and curse you JanRN!!!!) has me fully enamoured with her Sweet16 ... now if only I could find a truly local dealer!! Closest seems to be over an hour away. I've vowed though to at least test drive one ! With nicer weather, I foresee a serious road trip to fulfill that desire, if nothing else!!

OKSGlad ... I like the way you think! Now if only you were here on this doorstep with me, we'd be off on a roadtrip to check it out together! Hope that you aren't pushing yourself so much now, to cover for DH ... and then land yourself flat on your back! Hopefully the Weekend Warriors are back on duty to let Grandma and Grandpa have a bit of a break!

Anael ... wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! Tears came to my eyes as soon as I saw the bathing beauty!!! Happy 7 weeks for all!

A quick moment. I've got them finished--the mini's that is. Camera is at DDIL's so can't take a picture right now. But will get one taken when I can. Now for a nap. That's my balance mechanism at this point.

Sil did all the BBQ at noon; i was going to help him, but B&T neighbors show up early..so he did it all. Small meal of BBQ'd pork loin, chicken hindquarters and steak for the guys...and roaster veggies. ice cream and brownies for dessert. Dishes all went into the dish washer; have a few pans left, but no rush on them.

BIL and dd and i played skip-o a while this afternoon. Then Bil left, and dgs is playing with his new hot wheels with his Daddy in the hallway. That is dgs favorite thing to play here. And Sil in one a million, sits down on the floor and plays with his son. Hot wheels and fun small cereal boxes and pop icicle has been dgs favorite things this trip. No, QuiltE, i am not a beer drinker or lover, neither is dh so SIL will take the remainder home with him. Never learned to appreciate beer or liquor or coffee.

Dh and dd are processing nicely on the computer scene.

Finished mystery block. Now onward with the pony club quilt...slashing the last 35 blocks and the bbs.

GGal I am feeling a little better thank you, stitches come out tomorrow and I get the dreaded pathology report..

Looks like we are all meeting in the RV for brownies and ice cream yum yum we have to celebrate a few milestones, another PC finished, a new computer for MrQNS, first bath for Isa and 60 hours off the ventilator for Bram. What wonderful news Anael and what a beautiful photo.

QuiltE I haven't thought up a story yet so will just confess my sins and cook him a nice meal. He can't be angry with me on a full stomach

Honchey I played on the machine all day yesterday, getting used to threading it which is different to my other machine, by moving the needle position it sews a good 1/4 inch seam so happy with that. Sewed a mystery block and it came out at 12 1/2 inches and started sewing all the units for the Butterfly quilt border. I counted that I needed 152 rectangles for this border, counted again and came up with 132 so I made 140 and am now off to the sewing room to sew them together and get these borders finished...Will someone please send in some coffee and a sandwich cause I'm not coming out until I have this quilt top finished..

Oh Anael, this information just brings tears to my eyes! How wonderful they are doing. So glad they are in Unit 2 together. What great progress in 7 weeks! Isa looks so adorable enjoying her first bath!

Family and friends--such winning a winning combination. Little GD from Carolina called tonight-they'd been to the zoo and she fed the giraffe and it licked her face. Telling me that brought a giggle over the phone line! She likes to dream about giraffes and zebras and what was next to the giraffe paddock, but the zebras. Pleasant dreams Livvy Mae.
Okay so no camera--not a big deal as I can scan these little ones in. The first one is a charm pack of little bricks--little leftover 1 x 1 1/2" pieces in my scrap bin; all different. 7 1/4" x 10 1/2". And then the real charmer--Chained to the Barn door! Finished blocks 1 1/2"--finished quilt 6 x 8. I can see this one framed in an 8 x 10 frame. I HQ'd this one and now remember why I don't HQ very often. Hands just can't do it for long. Hoping these two will add to the fundraising efforts for L's cancer costs next weekend.

Laughing here as the cream and blue is smaller IRL than the picture!

Aneal... how cute was that picture of Isa in her bath. The rubber ducky was a special touch. So glad to hear that little Bram is holding his own. They just keep on keeping on, don't they.

okseglad... those minis are a marvel. How do you keep the little piece from going wonky? I am impressed.

QNS... I was really interested in hearing about your daughter and son in law and their jobs. I hope you are having a great time with all your company.

mirabelle... sending you good vibes on your pathology report. It's good to keep your self busy with your new machine and all that sewing.

I have my Mystery Block ready to mail on the 15th!! yay me. I'll be away but my other son will mail it for me. I also got quite a few of my preemie quilts FMQ'd and the binding put on so that I can get the hand sewing done while down with the grandkids if I can find some quiet time.

It is now 6pm and I am out of the cave er I mean sewing room. This is what I have accomplished today. It just needs a 1 inch border of the cream and I fill probably do that tonight then tomorrow I can sandwich the layers and start quilting. I have 3 weeks to her birthday, the pressure is on.

And the corners of the pieced border were set in seams, thought I was finished with them

Ooooohhh I love the minis, so much fun

Beautiful mini quilts, OK, and Mirabelle's butterfly quilt is lovely also.

Good news on the SewTwins, its one day at a time, but love to see and hear about their progress.

Our company leaves today and the house will seem so quiet. no running feet up and down the hallway....squeals of laughter and joy becoming quiet again.

i showed "off' the pony quilt and FWS to neighbor B yesterday; she was impressed with my BBs from all of you. She does not quilt herself; helping in her dh ministry. has four grown children, gc and ggc.
