Thank you all!

@GG: Mick is doing ok. He's used to my DS and DDIL going away all the time. Once a week he's visiting Bram and Isa too and he loves it. When you ask him where Bram and Isa are, he looks at you and says: with the doctors!

Oh Anael, that is so wonderful that Mick gets to see his sister and brother weekly! I'm sure once they come home, it will be a different story! My daughter once said that Will, her oldest, told her to take those twins back to the "ospital", he did not want them anymore! He is three years older than his siblings! LOL

LOL Jeanie, I guess that's what Mick will say too once they're home.

Our oldest daughter said that about her 23 month younger sister; 'Take HER back" and never changed her mind. Alas!! life goes on. Should adopted a boy older than first one...almost did, but we moved out of state.

i just finished the new mystery block; and ready to sent it off. Except I love the pattern and will make some more...since i am not a math major...if I forget to count the number I make, do i 'hafta' stop at one???????? Wanna make more....and more...I see a new quilt in my future...it is just so easy...

JeanieG I am so glad your hands are feeling better, keep going with your PT it will be worth it.

GGal they celebrate St Patricks Day out here in a big way, but not where I live. This town is 80% Italian population and if that is an exaggeration then maybe 70%

Anael I love your block layout it looks nice and light and fresh, well done. I am sure Mick will adjust to his brother and sister when they come home.

QNS I agree about liking our MB's, my DH loved the first one I made and said I should make a whole quilt like it. Only one problem, I only had a FQ of the main fabric so may have to search out something similar.

I am off to the sewing room, wanted to get 3 blocks quilted yesterday but only managed 2, it is a bit slow going, will take a pic today and let you all see how it is progressing

Forgive me Ladies, for I have sinned ....
(with apologies to any Catholics who are disgusted at my praphrasing)
This past week, I showed a piece of fabric that my personal shopper (CarrieM!!!) purchased for me that I was thinking of using for something for the Story of Butter display again this summer .... and we got talking about patterns and designs. I couldn't wait ... and I was just testing a few blocks to see. Well, you know the story ... a few became a few more and then .......... I was hooked!

So much for finishing UFOs and not starting anything new! In my own defense, it HAD to be done (for August, not now!) ... so good progress has been made as iit is together, except for the borders. Will be about 50x60 (I think!) .... and I've decided to call it "Out to Pasture". So, I'll let you put 2+2 together as to what that might mean, til it's ready for a photo op!

And to think my final two PC blocks elude me ... and then onwards to the sashing.

MiraB ... I'm with you, so many times I wish someone would whip me up a good supper! So was Anael advising to help coordinate your fabric and block choices with the one already made for your MB Pardner? Good idea!

Anael ... 8 weeeeeeeeks!!! wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Happy Campers!! Your FWS is going to look great with it done that way. Happy to hear about Mick too. So important he visits Bram and Isa regularly too!

GGal ... We've got almost duplicate machines as I have the 6600. Love it! Just wish it had the bigger throat ... and why I drool over JanRN's Sweet16!!!

Honchey ... thanks for sending me ____________'s name as my April MB Pardner!! I've got my block picked out, though have not searched my stash for fabrics yet. Thanks for the extra machine info. An example of duplicate machines would be the HQ Sweet 16 and Baby Lock Tiara. As far as I can figure out there is not difference. Though that double branding happens in most other machines too. Even cars! ENJOY you St. Patrick's feast with all! BTW ..... I can hear you snickering all the way, up here, that you know all about who is partnered with whom! We're just going to have to do something to YOU, to give you some MORE FUN!!!!!!!!! And yes, I AM having FUN ... and looking forward to a year of it!

QNSue ... Great progress on your sashing. Great plan to take your PC for LAQ as part of that FART!!! Did you find the missing sashing you needed? Or what did you decide to do? How nice that your friends can visit you, while in the area for the funeral. Lucky them to be able to enjoy your Irish feast!! Very tempting to hear about your signs of spring!

JanieW ... and how was your FART with your DS?

JeanieG ... great news about your hand PT results! Keep it up!!!!!!

JanRN ... no special Irish meal here for me either. Though in years gone by, I was known to add green food colouring to the oatmeal porridge!!! And would make green rice or tapioca pudding for dessert at supper!

OK QuiltE have you said your Hail Mary's (no offense to the Catholic population) or you just wanted to give us all a good laugh at your distraction can't wait to see what you made..

Anael and I will never tell what we were discussing just keep you all guessing.

This is the progesss I have made so far on this D*&^ oh I mean lovely butterfly quilt. I seem to be only able to get 2 blocks done a day and it is slow going. And yes I am quilting across the quilt not from the centre out. There is no stitch in the ditch on this until I get to the green border so I didn't want there to be too much pushing and pulling as I quilted. This way I can quilt in a vertical manner, stop and re press to make sure the layers are staying together and stitch some more, hence the go slow.
I just have to decide what I am going to quilt in the pieced border, it's not speaking to me any suggestions??
