Lovely quilts, Dublb, thank you for sharing. Yes, I lived in TEXAS for a number of years, and know its like another country!! They also taught me to capitalize the state name...because its five regions in one and they have the right to leave the union of the USA anytime they choose too to do so.

QE--We have "rotties" same coloring as dobes, but stockier. I will try to get a picture one of these times.

QNS--hope your bf keeps getting some answers...it is always frustrating to go to the drs and for them not to be able to tell you what's going on. Great progress on your pansy passion blocks!!

Anael--you have been doing a lot of practicing lately, you deserve a little break. Have a nice time with your quilt inspector.

Ggal--WOW! Those are some very nice quilts!! Thanks for sharing them with us. Do you have more ready to bind or do you have to get some more tops done first? How is your one for the "free backing" coming along?

Dublb--you did share the kitty pictures (still cute) , but not the mat...that's a good idea using denim to protect your lap.

I didn't get to the clubhouse today...this morning made food to take to lunch with the "in-laws" (late Easter gathering)...I think there were 20 of us there...we got home around 3 and I made food for the kid's archery banquet/potluck tonight at 5pm. Just got home a little bit ago..still have dishes to do but think they will wait til morning!

Yesterday I did get some quilting started on my BB quilt and progress made on my 4-patch posies wall hanging or table topper...whatever you want to call it. I still have to do a narrow cream border and then a wider border...figure I will share a picture of where I am at so far (since it's "next week" and all) LOL After taking the picture I saw that I turned around the bottom section so have ripped it out and pinned it on the right way now (did that last night after I came in so haven't sewn it yet).

Oh I love to listen to the chatter. Thanks for making me laugh--several times today.
DH and I went to a little informal Guernsey get together. We were the youngest there. As folks were from a ways away many of us hadn't seen each other for years. After the meal the men switched chairs and we each had our little corner. We laughed when the word "quilting" was bandied about. Of the 7 women only 2 did not quilt. I shared the FART acronym and they thought it hilarious. A fine afternoon of catching up and rediscovering why we hold onto some friendships.
Honchey I've tried side turning my machine but it felt awkward, but like QE mentioned my table space wouldn't support a quilt so maybe that's why it was uncomfortable.
Anael You have a NO MO Kitty
QE I may be wrong, but I think the Tiara and the S16 are designed for faster stitching and may be the reason for why the other BL didn't compare as well.
So QNS I just heard that pink calms you and offers a feeling of contentment. May be why you are "tickled pink". Hope your BF can get the Mg levels raised. I think we may find that it is a very important mineral to include in our diet.
Janie the picture of snow chilled me and makes me want a cup of hot chocolate! That storm is coming across the Dakota's and N MN--we may get some rain out of it. And farmers here are looking for a good rain to bring all the frost out so they can get in the fields ASAP. Looks like a late spring and a rush rush to get fields planted. A farm wife translation--no yard work help from the DH and be prepared to hop on the tractor at a moments notice.
GGal your quilts are beautiful. I like the Monet setting and can see it used with other fabrics as well--scrap KT's, florals, and oh those fun modern fabrics the young gals like to work with. But I really like the SASea. Just lovely--sigh. Oh and it's blue, too.
dublb--I chuckled at QNS's comment on TEXAS being another country. Word from the now wise. If you have dublb's name for MB--mail it like it was in a foreign land.. Thanks for letting me share it. Not only give it wings, but the sense to land in the right airport! Like Kitty's Circle denim quilt. Have always wanted to try one of those. It would be a great quilt to use with Gpa's shirts.
Carrie--thanks for sharing the 4P Posies. Your fabric selection for the side "bars" is spot on! Now need to get my dishes done--some have sat from last night so can't let them wait any longer.

OK at least we are laughin' & not cryin'. I don't guess it would do any good ta be unhappy about it. I also have a crazy block that was mailed ta me on the 20th (from my other board) that's not here yet. My mailman is gonna think I'm stalkin' him. Poor man.

I forgot to mention...please (USA) girls don't let on you have next months MBs untill everyone has them....otherwise the ITS will have an idea of who possibly is making a block for them...It's (not ITS) supposed to be a mystery...that's why...

I'm sitting here laughing my a-- off typing this message...

Bev I hope your MB gets there safely, I have just spent an hour reading all the chats and I should be cleaning.

Two of my patchwork ladies are coming tomorrow to start working on our raffle quilt, I have spent the past 2 days making a start on it so we can start sewing tomorrow. Will post a pic of our progress. Oh and it has to be finished by the middle of July and guess who has been nominated for the quilting ???? DH is going to cook us lunch so we can keep working ...

QuiltE, I hope you are not stressing out over the S16, what will be will be...

GGal you quilts are beautiful, I have been feeling in a slump lately so cleaning up and putting things away in my sewing room might motivate me to get a few ufo's finished.

Honchey your post made me laugh

JeanieG I hope you hand is healing, sounds like the physical therapy is working.

If I have missed anyone my apologies, the floors await and I want to finish a MB today, no its not May's or Aprils maybe November ok you have to visualise a smiley face cause its not working now a sad face

Have a great day everyone

I hope! I hope!! I hope that Miss April likes her block that I finished tonight!!!
You'd never believe how long it took me to choose fabrics ... and how many I pulled out and switched back and forth on, before I made my decisions and got quilting.

Honchey
... one reason to keep working!!! So I think you were sold on the Pfaff 4.0 because of the dual feed? but not so impressed on many of the other features? I think I am like you, if Janome had the S16, I'd be jumping pretty fast because I have such a good dealer. You're such a tease and having too much fun with your "mystery" ... just remember, it'll come back to you!

QNSue ... you just sent me on a "guilt trip"! When I moved ten years ago, I sold the sewing machine I learned on ... my Mom's old black Singer in a cabinet. No clue now as to what model. Now that I know more, I wish I had it ... though I am good at accepting that I made my decision and now I just live with it. Besides, I do really like the machine I have and know it does so much more than the old ones did! Great progress on your pansies ... forget? is this for you? or whom?

**making note** no pink for QNSue!

Anael
... oh dear! you must be terribly cramped. Are you using the gloves to help you get the grip? I use finger cots.

JeanieG ... now maybe if you'd put a pillow or some batting scraps into that pillow case, kitty would be even more enticed to that spot!

GGal ... beautiful quilts! The white in your Monet is so effective along with all the spring like colours. Low contrasts can still be lovely ... not everything has to be glaring contrasts! I like what you have made. And oh how special that wall hanging is with the SAS colours swapped to create the ♥. Neat! I bet you are working like a little trooper to get your quilt finished for the free backing! Huge Incentive!

DublB ... Good Luck with tomorrow's mail!!!

CarrieM ... Happy Easter!! My apologies to your Rottie! You know what? when I typed Dobe, I thought, no that's not it, and then convinced myself it was! So with archery wound up ... now what for your kids? Great progress on your 4PP project.

OKSGlad ... You bring back memories of Jersey gatherings for us. There never was the same camaraderie with our Holstein friends, and we were so surprised when we added the Jerseys as to the "family" feel of it all. You'll be emailing all the acronyms to your G friends. Any others going with you this summer? I think you've hit the nail on the head for the difference between the S16/Tiara and conventional DSMs. One nice thing is that you have a speed adjustment for consistency and you are not controlling it with the pedal. At least, I think that's a good thing? And even more memories with your spring translation! A year ago today seeds were going in the ground here. This year ... snow off most of the fields, but a long way from starting on the land. My lawn still has snow! And yes ITA we need the rain to warm up the soil.

JanRN ... jump in please and add to my comments to OKSGlad!

MiraB
... Good thing MrMiraB is on holidays, so he can be the man-servant for the quilters! Let me guess ... he went fishing today, to include on the menu! Oh I'm not stressing over the S16. I decided to just kind of let it sit for a few days and I'll have a clearer mindset as to what is right ... at least I think I will! For sure, I will go to the dealer and try the S16 and an 11" DSM back to back, for a comparison of the feel of it all. You're really whipping along with your MBs! Next thing will be that you have them all done.

JanieW ... gee thanks a lot ... weatherman tonight said snow predicted for Thursday!

It just amazes me everytime ya'll say snow! I would love a good snow! Hey, moisture is moisture. LOL Snow wouldn't make it ta the lakes but would at least make the ground wet. It was 82*F taday & is 73*F now.
I just finished_______'s April MB & am happy about it. I hope it is _______ enough.
I have been so excited about what DH & I are doin' in Brady. We are buyin 2 lots next ta our house there.

These lots will ensure that nobody buys 'em & builds a house or makes our driveway so small we can't git in.
I plan on plantin' wildflowers there & some fruit trees. (Yes that's our house in the background.)
Here is a pict o' my oldest kids playin in those lots. She is 30 & he is 28 now. I think it was taken in about 1987.

I wasn't gonna say anything about it till we had it bought but I can't contain myself!

Congrats on your purchase.

The house is all clean, the sewing room is spic and span and this is what I have accomplished in the past few days. All the fabric except the white is batiks and the white is Kona Cotton. This is going to be our raffle quilt. What do you all think ???

The photo may be a bit off but I had secret blocks on the design wall and I couldn't let you see them now could I
