Bev, what a lovely house you have! And I just adore your SBS quilt! I always wanted to make one myself but never got to it. Oh well, maybe some day

I never knew FMQ = workout!!! I'm using very heavy flannel (mattress covers) and it's so heavy I will never use that stuff again! I'm halfway done and need lots of breaks! And it's only a table topper. Lucky me I didn't use it in a quilt

Every get the feeling that like a salmon swining up the river against the strong current, it relates to your progress in the quilt room??? One step forward, and two backward?? Yes, I finished and pressed the pansy passion II quilt top; when it gets quilted by machine, it will go to Corpus Christi, TX, to a friend, retired librarian who was born in Iowa, around Fort Madison, and ended up in Corpus where we lived...she arrived at the tender age of two. On to....one of the ten dozen projects left to do. Which one is next...may the PC rows sewn together and BB arranged.

Janie, there will be a small brown package headed your way either tomorrow or next Monday. No, its not a mystery block. It is a pre-cut homemade fabric and pattern kit to do your own Pansy Passion II with six blocks ready to sew together. No, you cannot send me any Canadian $$ 'cause my bank does not accept it; looks at it like it was home made play money. QuiltE tried that 'cause I sent her muslin and patterns, but we both learned how things have changed since 9-11. No matter...to friends on this PC ride.

Dublb, lovely home; it looks loved and lived in by a family. So glad you are enjoying your cabin at the lake, but do be careful in those bell bonnets 'cause they attract big rattlers, too.

No problemo, Mirabelle. I was cutting out blocks and Janie said she hoped it was her MB; she loved it. Therefore, I cut out for her, too, but did not sew it together because in my eye, she is a great quilter and pieces them together so well, really better than I.

What goes around comes around, its just passing the act of kindness on that members of this board has done a large number of times...love the folks and company on this trail ride. without exception unlike family dh and I are related too! Appreciate each and everyone of you....celebrate, pat yourselves on the back...you are the best.

And here it is April 12th, and I am wearing a heavy winter ski sweater, turtle neck, thick socks and corduroy jeans!

We've had ice, not snow today. Everything was very crystalline and then this afternoon it started crashing down from my trees and roof. Now with night coming, it's starting to freeze again. I don't think I have had any serious damage ... a few branches down around the yard and in the bush. I seldom lose hydro, but today was one of those days, being out for 3 hours which I expect was from ice weighing down the lines, then probably snapping them.

I'm sure my daffodils are saying, I want to go back down. They're only in shoots, no buds yet, so should survive OK. And guess what? It's supposed to be 18C on Monday ... then back to normal temps of about 10C.

CarrieM
... looks like your new machine is speaking to you to downsize your other hobby! I'm sure you'll still keep your hand in it though, as you want/need things done. Looks like you will have a busy weekend. Hopefully with 3 "assistants", your nephew will be easy care, and the work for you minimal, so you can take care of your back, and keep those migraines under control.

QNSue ... sorry that you had to see snow. I know you will appreciate the rain to bring up the water table. Were the Missouri tornados anywhere near you? I'm thinking not, and that they were in the South of the State? Once again you have proven you have a ♥ of gold!!!!! With all the snow that JanieW still has, your sending spring to her will be a real treat!

DublB ... Ahhh the life of luxury, sleeping late! and then the rest of the day sounds just perfect! Your SBS is a cute quilt. What are your plans for it? Your Brady home is lovely.

JeanieG ... Oh Happy Day, Great Grandmamamamaa!!!!! How sweet and precious Lil Aubree Rene is!

MiraB ... Wheeeeeeeeee!!!! Your PC is done and from the pictures we've seen you have one exceptional LAQ. Imagine, 8 different threads. Can't wait to see the whole thing, and I'll be checking her site all weekend, hoping to see that full on shot!! And even more so, when you get it home and can tell/show us more!! It would be fun for you to get and use that MiraB fabric! So nice that your DS invites you to dinner! Letting your BB quilt simmer on the back burner is not so bad, as the inspiration will come to you without stress. Once you have the raffle quilt done, then will that let you go back to what you want to do? Great news about your retreat plans. Does that include DD going too? ... I'm thinking DH taking the time off, is so that he can be there to look after your dog? I smiled when I saw your heating pad treatment as I do the same! However, the smile was a little twisted, as I was wondering what the temperature is there now? and that I usually stash the heating pad away with warmer times! At the same time, I will confess that I have been known to have my heated car seat turned on (for my back) in the midst of the heat of summer ......... with the air conditioning on at full blast!

Anael .. you are must motoring along with projects! Is your 1st BSR quilt finished thru to the binding now? Hope you're going to keep it for yourself, as a reminder of your 1st! Any Isa and Bram updates for us?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!!!!

QuiltE DD is coming to retreat with me, we already have a project to work on together, something that has been sitting in the cupboard for number of years. And yes DH has to stay home and look after the dogs, its like having small children all over again.

The temperature has dropped to about 23 Celsius but that is cold for me and my back seizes up.

Time to make lunch, we are having a prawn salad and then I am going to spend the afternoon in the sewing room, think DH and DS are going to the movies together, some shoot em up sci-fi that I don't like..

MiraB ... Yes, I can imagine that for you 23C is chilly! I would so love to have a dog or cat, though the "babysitting" issue would be an issue. For now, I don't want the responsibility that I must get home for the critters, no matter how much I would love to have one. I used to love coming home and our dalmation would be jumping all excited to see me! I'm still in awe that you and your DD have the enjoyment of each others company as well as the common quilting love! I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress after your afternoon sewing! ITA skip the sci-fi with the guys. Not my "cup of tea" either!

***giddy with delight**

I have Miss April and Miss May done for my MB partners ... and even have their Lil Sisters done for my keepers!
**giggles**

I have posted Miss April's block to her and I am currently working on Miss May's block today, worked on it yesterday but wasn't happy with it so cut another one out and if this doesn't work will have to make a plan B..

I have not made my MB's little sister, was put off by April's block and when you see it you will understand why so I won't have any little blocks but that's ok
