QuiltE don't get too excited, Honchey's block may be going to JanieW or maybe Dublb cause the Texas post is so slow.... but its nice to dream. I am going to use my other machine to quilt this raffle quilt which I am quickly starting to dislike cause it doesn't want to play nice. Will let you know how it goes today.. Just lost my enter button again JanRN please show us a picture of your chairs, I wish I had something from my DGM's home it was full of antiques

I've been peeking in but not stopping the past few days. What a lot is getting done. QNS....you are on a roll. Good therapy.
Honchey...all kids love to make tents in the living room. What fun. I forgot to take a picture of my April one so I could get Anael's stamp of approval. In the morning.
Jan...we are all collectible in our own circle if friends and there is no price that can pay enough for each one of us!
Mirabelle...I only break needles when I forget that I have the single hole plate on and I'm going to done zig zag! You must really make that machine dance. Hope it goes better tomorrow. BTW...watched an Aussie win the Masters Golf Tournament. It was early in the morning for you. Did you see it?
Anael...your feather quilt is gorgeous. I just added more white to my stash today. I really like how it sets patterns off.
carrie...what thoughtful gifts you come up with for your retreats. It must be a real highlight for those that come.
Dubib...what a cute house in Brady. Too bad it's so far from Midland. ...and another machine? ....and a stinky case? Might try Fabreez. It worked wonders on the upholstery in my DD's pickup after gasoline was spilt on it.
OK...busy time if the year for you. Hope you get a little time in the sewing room.
Me?....Friday I got the backing at discount and couldn't walk our of the LQS without the Mirabelle fabric. I have one strip of 2 inch blocks done and the prepping done for the next one. Then it's just cutting the focus fabric into strips and adding sashing and borders. Such fast quilts that have a beauty all there own.
QuiltE...once you get started with the next step on the PC quilt, it will encourage you a whole bunch!

GardenGal, a picture please of what you bought of the Mirabelle fabrics????? Went back ten pages to find it and missed it again!

Dinner or Supper will be served in the virtual RV and its pot luck, but not in my kitchen as it is closed. Lost some added pounds that was too much and not going to look for them again!! I serve one meal a day, and Heaven help on the other two meals of breakfast and Supper/dinner meals...leftovers or raid the freezer. Dh has been lots of practice on what he likes fix to eat and helping with dirty dishes every other day. Of course, I help him outside when he asks me to do so. And Dh does all the vacuuming in the house...for the last ten to fifteen years I have not touched it.

Just got back from helping out with my family down south . I continue to be amazed at all that you ladies accomplish in such a short time. We have had snow, snow and more snow so I will be housebound for a few days and maybe I can catch up! PC blocks are still on the wall.

I noticed your post, QNS, where you mentioned to me to watch out for a squishy with your pansy fabric and a pattern. I am over the moon!!!! That is incredibly kind of you. I am gobsmacked. You are one in a million for sure. Thank you so much.

I am so very tired and need a long soak and then to dreamland in my own bed.

Sorry for not addressing you all individually, but I am just beat.

Night, all.

edited to add: I got home in time to get my MB in the mail to my April pal! Whoo Hoo. Hope I sent it to the right person.

It is good to hear from you Janie. Welcome back, even if its snow on the homestead, it must seem nice to be at home.

JanRN ... oh dear! I think a lot of us are in that category! ITA with MiraB ... photos of those chairs. I always say the furniture in my home is an eclectic mix. I have stuff from all ages and stages, and most does not coordinate in the least as far as style. Ultra modern ... nada!

QNSue ... I cut the first border for my PC tonight and then fiddled with some other mindless sewing. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to sew borders and knew if I started it'd get all wonky! Glad you have "forgotten" how to vacuum!!!! Congratulations on your shedding some extras!! However, please be careful, and don't start skipping meals, as you need to keep the nutrition coming in regularly for your general health, plus to keep your metabolism firing, to burn the calories off.

MiraB ... Well, a girl's gotta dream it's her Mb!!!!! Do you know why you're having problems? After doing such a phenomenal job on your DDs quilt, it's hard to believe you'd now have difficulties. So which machine are you switching to?

GGal ... so is your new project using your MiraB fabric? Was it a pattern that they recommended for the fabric? Great that you got the discount fabric ... are you still planning to keep it for another project? Oh I'm anxious to get going on the PC borders, just I know when it comes to borders, I need to be really sharp! Just to show how I was not so tonight ... I cut my first border, then after I had them almost cut, I realized I had cut them at 2-1/2" strips. Had enough that I just recut, and set the strips aside, as I might, use that for the final binding ... and may not!

JanieW ... you deserve a good rest! I keep laughing every time you say "down south" ... are you trying to mentally wish away the snow and have some of the hot stuff?

Honchey ... one more sleep and a full day then .......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Janie, welcome back

Here's the table topper I made for my DDIL. She's working at a green grocery (right word??) and when I saw a fruit/veggie charmpack I just had to buy it I bought the backing fabric a long time ago just because I liked it. Now to wait for nice weather so she can use it. It's raining again here

QuiltE I don't know why I was having issues but I changed from my Pfaff 3.0 to my Pfaff Creative 4.0, which is my embroidery machine but I set it up as a straight sewer and I have not had any issues today, except for the thread. When I quilted my Daisy quilt I used Monopoly which is a Polyester invisible thread and it worked great. This time it looked great on the white sections but then on the batik sections I was getting a lot of bobbin thread on the top of the quilt and it seemed to be pulling. So I walked away again, did not get mad and have now decided to quilt white thread in the white sections and a King Tut multi coloured thread in the batik sections..The trick is to make it look as if it is continuous, don't know if I am succeeding. Will take a pic tomorrow and let you all have a look and give me your opinions

Anael I love your table topper what a great idea and the fabric is perfect..

QNS I would love to come play with you in your sewing room, you get so much accomplished and you have so many quilts on the go...I seem to be stuck at the moment so can't wait to finish this quilt so I can get back to "my" stuff

Thank you mirabelle! It's hanging on the clothline right now. I had to wash out the glue. I used school glue on this one but I don't think I will do that again.

Do any of you own the Thimbleberries Big Book of Quilt Blocks? I've seen the Thimbleberries village quilt and I just LOVE it. Of course I don't have the book It's still available, only not here in our tiny country!
