QNS will be thinking of you as you learn the results of the tests, (hugs) coming your way...

Now please forgive me as I may have missed a couple of posts QuiltE the fabric you sent with the bonus blocks are we to make something and send back to you ?????... my mind has been distracted a little lately...don't know why just can't seem to focus some days.

The MB's that are being posted are stunning, what a parade of beautiful quilts we will have

I'm sad ... packed up my machine ... I really liked it and will definitely miss it.
I'm excited ... and looking forward to my new machine.
I'm nervous ... about getting to know this new machine!
and I'm worried ... that I won't have enough time for my new machine. Work geared up a notch today

QNSue
... So sad what happened with SIL today. Some people are toxic and it appears you did a good job of trying to go into ignore mode. Though I know how hard one tries, it still hurts. Despite her, I hope you had a day of good memories and sharing with your family and friends about DAIL. Oh I bet you'll think of something for that little block ... a challenge in itself, with it's small size! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and am sending some prayers out for only good news. I hope your BFF is going with you again, to help you thru the good or the less than so. Try to get a good night's sleep before you go. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

MiraB ... what a disappointing day, though I suspect it was somewhat reassuring to you that you are in the "right" group! And here you had given us the idea that you were not like the rest of us, and that you did not have UFOs.

Though I have a feeling MiraB's will not have been abandoned as long as some of mine ......... and perhaps others? Or am I alone?

Anael ... Yup, ASAP ... no pressure! Though the sooner I get all back, the sooner I can complete my FFC! Do whatever you want to it ... have FUN, rememeber!

GrannyQ and JeanieG ... a lovely block indeed. Congratulations GrannyQ for that first trial with batiks!

GGal ... Oh go with the emotions! I didn't need a machine either, and really do like my machine, but heck, as everyone told me, you deserve it! What are you sewing on now, a 6600? The 8200 is a sweet machine and some great upgrades from the 6600. You do enough sewing, you can justify it! Or maybe you should look at a Bernina so you too can have a BSR?

DublB ... I looked at your pattern last night ... are the pinwheels done with HSTs? or are you doing Y seams? If HSTs, do them with the squares with double stitching line. It's on the bias, but not at all like sewing after it has been cut.

Anael … saw this one last night. Not sure if it’s the same as the one I gave you before. If so, just ignore!

OKSGlad
… stumbled on this for an idea for a GFG finish. No need for a background fabric!

CarrieM … another stumble upon, which made me think of you!

Oh no!!
That FQ is the FFC fabric (FFC=Fabric Friends Challenge)
I issued a challenge to all that have received it, to make something for themselves and do whatever their little ♥ desires! Show creativity and originality. FQs have gone out to 20 QB friends, all the PC Ladies, and a few others.

The send back part ... you probably have not received yet.
For my FFC, I decided to do a table runner or topper using the old fashioned Friendship Blocks, where people sign a block. You might remember seeing my pile of blocks in an earlier post. I sent one to everyone in the FFC in a regular letter sized envelope last week, asking you to help me with my FFC project. You can simply sign it, or adorn it with ??? ... and then send it back to me!

If I'm only clear as mud ... ask me questions!

Good News!!!!

Spring MUST be here!!!!

.... remember that robin that has built a nest at my back door, the last two years.

She now has her new nest well on the way, once again, perched on top of my evergreen wreath, that now has spring flowers amidst, and complete with mini lights. I think it must be the electricity that draws her. Next thing, she'll be wanting running water installed.

Looks like the finishing touches are going to be done, tomorrow.
Then the Home Tweet Home sign can be hung for another season.
And the babies can arrive!!!!

What the heck ... What's one more post from me?

QE--I look forward to seeing your "out to pasture" project. How exciting that you get your new machine tomorrow! Did you order a new table for it or does it come with one? Too bad you don't live closer or I would just buy your table!! Thanks for the link to the homemade one...I have considered doing something like that as well. Fun to hear about your robin returning. We have a robin building in a tree outside a living room window. My younger kids were watching her last week and said something about "she better keep building...she's too big to fit in that little nest." Then a little bit later her mate came and added to the nest.

Mirabelle--too bad the big group of ladies didn't have more to show. Sometimes uneventful days are good ones! Last year I sorted my UFOs, WIPs and fabric for new quilts yet to be started into tubs. It is nice to see at a glance what's there and what I want to work on next.

QNS--sorry you had the added stress today at the funeral. I have a spot in the middle of my back that the muscles get tight due to stress (at least that is what my doctor told me (the one who does the dry needling). I find that a heating pad is helpful. Praying for your appt tomorrow...good to know you will have DH there with you.

Jeanie--you got a pretty MB from GrannyQ (great job GQ!)

Ggal--I look forward to hearing what you think of the 8200. I got some new pictures of the river yesterday...it was higher than last week...no more fence can be seen and the picnic tables are under water. The geese were there last week too. I am assuming they usually nest somewhere near the ramp and it is like they are waiting for the water to go down again.

Janie--I feel for you! Praying the migraine doesn't last long and you can get back to regular life.

They are made w/HST's & not Yseams. The cuttin' directions said ta cut 80 squares o' 2 different fabrics, then cut 'em on the bias. If I had known that half o' 'em were gonna be made inta the pinwheels & half were gonna be sewn onta the side sashin' strips, I'd o' cut the ones for the pinwheels bigger & done 'em the way ya just described. Argue!
I'm glad ya got the machine that'll work for ya. It'll be there soon.

and you thought I didn't have any ufo's, my DD calls me the Queen of Starting Quilts !!!!!!!! but after my sorting yesterday I am focused on getting a few finished...

This one I found hanging in the cupboard, had forgotten about it so it will be quilted next... and I made a table runner and table mat to match. The mini Dresdens were made from 2 1/2 inch strips and I hand appliqued them..

Another ufo, this one is on my design wall now, just have to finish the applique, then it just needs the quarter square triangle blocks for the border and they are already pieced. So I am off to do some stitching.

This was in a Quilting magazine, called Late Bloomers by Kym Deihl, I just loved it even though it is not my normal colour choice
