Just got home from Patchwork and lots of chatter.

QNS congrats on the new machine and the fabric acquisition, sounds like you have a few projects on the go at once..

JeanieG I forgot to comment on your home improvements, hope everything is going well and will be finished soon.

JanRN great news on the sale of the house, less stress for you and a new LQS to visit, psssttt ask if they will ship international

Anael (big sigh) I just want to pick them up and give them a big cuddle, and tell them how much they have touched our hearts. (tears flowing now)

I am going to do some more quilting this afternoon before it is time to head to DS's for dinner (he's cooking again) then home and back to it, hopefully I will have something to show you tomorrow

Wow! Lots of exciting news here this afternoon/evening! So happy to see some more "twin time". Also new machines and fabric; properties bought and sold.

I spent much of the evening in the ER with DD...she's had a pretty bad migraine the last two days and the dr said that since the meds here weren't working the ER was the next step. Thankfully after the meds were administered and iv bag ran through her head was feeling much better. I am glad we have a small hospital nearby...you walk in give them your name and they take you back to a room. If I had to go into the bigger one it takes so much longer to get registered and in a room, let alone see the doctor, get meds, discharged, etc, etc. DD crashed when we got home (around 10:45), I am finally winding down after catching up on everyone's news.

I worked today and was able to find the book with the Irish Mist pattern and also a background fabric...the only things I didn't have in my stash (well except maybe the outer border, but I'll think about that later). I also bought some fabric for a skirt I need to make.

Bed time...

Wow QNS, congrats on your new machine! I think I would have gone for broke too Pictures of your new toy please!

Jan, congrats on selling the house.
Bev, congrats on getting the 2 lots

Carrie, good to hear your DD is feeling better.

I didn't do any sewing yesterday, was gone for most of the day. Today I'm visiting a friend so again no sewing.
As you have seen the twins are doing great. Bram has caught a cold and still needs oxigen, otherwise he would have been off the oxigen too! I have no news about the eye problems. As far as I know the eye doc will see Bram today.

Mirabelle--very nice to have a DS to cook for you. How is the quilting coming along?

Anael--have a great time with your friend...your sewing will be there when you return.

Today is our 16th Anniversary. I am meeting DH for lunch (he works about 10min away) and he offered to make steaks for supper, but I am thinking we will just wait til the weekend to do that since it cooled off again and is supposed to be raining tonight.

Sewing this morning and this afternoon...off to the clubhouse now. Hope everyone has a great day!

So much to catch up on....house sold....yay Jan! Lots purchased...yay, Bev! Sweet new quilting machine...yay QNS!
FARTS....yay Jan, QNS, and Honchey! No more static from the Patchwork group and DS cooking for you..yay Mirabelle. Twins cuddling so fat and sassy....yay Anael! Yard loosing it's winter blahs....yay OK! DD better and school almost over.....yay Carrie. Remodeling kitchen progressing....yay, Jeanie. It all calls for celebrating. I did finish piecing the back for the Lone Star so it's a matter of getting it to the quilter. I've practiced FMQing on my new machine and I see real possibilities. I need the inset area on my sewing table enlarged so is sits flush. I've had a design for a MB in mind since we started this but had to resize it and change colors but I should finish that today. These have been so much fun for me to make....finding the right pattern and fabric for that special person....!!! I did get some work done in the garden too and it's looking good. I transplanted a redbud tree to a bed at the edge of the garden Tuesday. I hope it does well. It is such a beautiful tree and I've wanted one since I first saw them in the woods years ago. Today I get a haircut and maybe more gardening before the rain sets in again. Have a good day everyone!

I've got my spacing back ... though I had to go to Google Chrome.
Couldn't get IE10 to cooperate!

MiraB .. nah not crazy, just possessed! You'll do a great job with it. Are you feeling bored, doing all the 1/2 inch rows? It'll sure be test of your keeping straight! Hope you enjoyed your supper with your DS. So nice, that he invites you ... good payment for the quilts he receives!

CarrieM ... Happy 16th Anniversary!!!! How nice that you and your DH are getting together for lunch. Do hope your DD is feeling better today. Perhaps a quiet day, to continue the recover? I'm sure with your own migraine experiences, you have full empathy for her. Yea for new fabric too!

QNSue ... WOW!! what a grand day you had!!!! Being that you were at Creekside, did you take your PC for them to quilt? Your Tahiti kit sure came quick ... and how nice that you got fabrics for Irish for your DH. Perhaps do a sleepover on the 18th at your BFs, so you can go for the lesson. It'll be well worth it.

JanRN ... a red letter day for you too! Finding an exceptional LQS and selling your Mom's home. I know it'll still be a tug at your ♥ to say good bye to that part of your life. Looks like that new LQS is a real gem. I "think" I saw that PP technique somewhere on the web a while back. What is the woman's name? or the technique name? It might jog my brain! And do tell us more about Big and Little Feet!

DublB ... Congratulations on the double lot purchase!

Honchey ... and your idea is?????????????? Well, you know that my FFC project has been started and what it is ... now for others? Here;s hoping the postie arrives with your MB!

CarrieM ... as the official keeper tracker ... who else does not have their MB, other than Honchey?

GGal ... glad you are getting lots of practice with your new machine. What's wrong that the insert is not sitting flush? Do you have the Janome table and insert? or? I'd never heard of a Red Bud Tree, so went off ISO ... almost looks like a cross between a lilac and flowering crab apple. Oh so pretty!!!!!!!

To add to all the exciting news from all ... I got my new sewing machine table/desk on Tuesday. A friend helped me unload it yesterday and we put it together. Now to "move in" ... so many places to put things!! I can see that I'll put things in and then move them several times before I have them where I want! (ten drawers, with dividers to make cubbies ... and 2 of the drawers for thread! ) Shortening my WORK day today, so I can get some of that transition done.
