Here are the photos as promised, the side triangle is a little shiny but I hope you can see what I quilted. DD made the quilt top I just quilted it her for, hope she likes it, she doesn't know that I have been working on it. The original pattern was just 9 blocks set 3 x 3 but just like me she decided to change it (just a little) it ended up 74 x 74.

OK....I didn't use all of the PC blocks since I used the setting blocks so I'm using about 25 of the more colorful blocks and piecing the back where I'm fusing Sunbonnet Sam and hearts in alternate blocks. It will be a reversible quilt. Need to get on the appliqué now that I know what I'm going to do. What I wouldn't give for some good mature manure in my garden. I'm using leaf mold and bagged compost which works but not the same. I love my raised beds too. My DH doesn't like how grass and weeds grow right up to it and requires more work to trim so this year I'm putting in a bed right in front of it edged with pavers he can mow right up on. Will work on that some more today.Mirabelle....how do you decide what patterns to quilt? There is so much variety in this last quilt. Very beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration.
Dubib...best wishes for the house hunt.
Honchey...your azaleas will welcome you back. I love them but have not been successful in growing them. Right now there isn't enough shade where I garden.
Carrie...watch for your attachments. I sent them out Monday regular mail.
Have a good day everyone!

Just caught up on all the news and flowers and babies and food and travel and quilting and OH MY!!! What fun to enjoy all that everyone has going on in their lives. I'd love to comment personally to all, but my fingers would be sore from typing and I'd need my own page. Please know I'm thinking about yinz and loving all of you and following along. I'm working too many days and doing the final clean out of my mother's house. Hope to be able to participate more soon!
My news: I'm off to pick up my new car this morning!! Yay me!!

Good news all around is wonderful to wake up too and read about...from bad sinus attack at 4 am this morning. Dudlb, so happy for you.

Mirabelle, another beautiful job on a quilt. You are really getting great at that work!!

Carrie, great you got the Half yard and more book and the queen size looks great as well. None of mine will be queen size; too big to handle well for now...don't know who will get the quilt yet. Also making the second one for dh.

Honchey, I wrote on line I was doing Half yard and more quilt called Irish Mist and others have joined me in making it. Lets see if I can name everyone now on to it too, and IF I skip a name, please correct me, folks, :

JanieW
Dearranged Damsel
Mirabelle
Carrie

And my mind is blank....help! Add your name to the list if you are doing it, please. Thanks.

GardenGal, I am green with envy over OksewGlad's supply of natural garden boost, too. No substitute for the real thing.

Many things to do today...I had better get started, even with baby steps, I can inch my way through today...

I hope you can get over the sinus attack soon, QNS. Sinus problems are no fun.

I have the twin grands coming this morning til it's time to take them to kinder this afternoon. Then I am skyping with grandson who lives away this afternoon. I have gardening to do as well and it's uncharacteristically windy today so I am having a wee pout because I hate wind.

I don't know when I can get to sort out which fabrics I will use for Irish Mist, but it won't be today!

Have a good one, everybody.

Best thing about Irish Mist is that it has no deadlines; none. It is all for fun. It will interesting to see everyone's colors when they post their "middle" of the quilt; then it has the upper or head, and the lower, or foot section. It can be done with any light, dark and four mediums with a background. The light, dark and four mediums are all half yards. to do the border around the middle, more dark, and for the border, it echos the middle as well. its set into the background which takes around 2 and 2/3 or something like that.

Mirabelle - that quilt is spectacular. I'm, like everyone else here, in awe of your beautiful quilting!

dublb - good luck on getting the house you want. The waiting is always hard!

QNS - sinus problems are no fun! I've had my share of sinus infections in the past too.

Jan - how exciting to get a new car!
