Thanks everyone, this one truly was a labour of love and DD loved it, we hung it in the hall this morning.

QNS what a beautiful garden you have.

Bev great house, hope everything works out for you.

JeanieG hope you get to go camping and DH is healing, everything will work out with the renos.

Honchey safe travels home

Now I am off to the sewing room to work on some "stuff" for me, and as your weather warms up mine gets cooler, last week I was wearing shorts and t-shirt and this week I have my fluffy slippers on. Drizzly rain and the temp has dropped dramatically. brrrrr

Beautiful babies, nice to see pictures of them. They have grown so much and doing so well. May they both continue to do so well.

Mirabelle, cooler weather can be a nice break from too hot. Enjoy your days in the sewing room.

Honchey, safe journey back to NJ. At least there, you have a car to drive and go solo on your FART or to your sisters place.

Thanks everyone, for your nice comments on the pictures. Roses are on the fence, lilacs couple of feet back from them. In all, I think some eight to ten lilac bushes are growing. Dh is still trying to get all the daffodils in a row and the lilies as well. Herb garden winter killed in spots, will have to get more this spring. Rhubarb is ready to use.

With luck we may finish the place mats and runner today; and on to sew on quilts. Everyone have a great day.

Thanks for the flowers, QNS. My lilac is blooming and makes the entire garden area smell. Since my garden is new, I don't have a lot of other perennials in bloom just yet except for my clematis. It's just loaded with buds.
OK....when you are out on the tractor, no one bothers you do they? I always enjoyed that.
Anael....Isa looks like she is developing as far as personality too. I bet she will be the ring leader of the two and keep everyone hopping.
Honchey....safe travels.
Dubib....keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I'm not using PC blocks after all for the baby quilt. Sunbonnet Sam is just to cute to be in second place. I have to cut out the hearts yet and sew them on. It's going fast at this point. Quilting it will slow me down. Have a good day everyone.

How I envy you, QNS--those flowers are so pretty. My house is where plants come to die. Only thing I can grow are Day Lillies because they're behind a fence and I can't "harm" them.
Bev, good luck on getting the house altho I don't envy you having to move. Seems like a daunting task altho that may be the only way I can get my house cleaned.
Anael, those pictures just make my heart smile. Miracles!!
Jeanie, hope your DH can make the camping trip. With all that you've been thru and all the work on the horizon, take a break while you can.
OK, what fun to ride a tractor (altho for you it's work). I miss having a garden. Back in my "Earth Mother" days, I had a small garden and did lots of canning. Loved making all those goodies to have over the winter months.
Mirab, what can I say about your quilting that hasn't been said? It is awesome. Am I right thinking this is not done on a longarm? Wow. I'm still trying to not be jerky when I go around corners. Do you draw your designs first?
Ggal, can't wait to see the Sunbonnet Sam quilt; they are so cute.
Anne, drive safely. We need you to keep us in line and get the next quilt-along organized!
Picked up my new car yesterday. It's a Chevy Equinox in a pearl white finish. What are all those buttons & gadgets & screens????? I just want to get from one place to another--I don't need all those electronics LOL. Can't buy a new car without them tho--I tried. Haven't been in the Bat Cave for over a week. Hopefully today I'll get some fabric therapy. Have a happy day everyone.

Hello all

Anael--Some more cute pics of the twins...thanks for sharing the newborn/current pictures of Bram...what a change!

QNS--Hope you are feeling better today. Those are some very pretty flowers. I have some lilacs getting close to blooming and also the crab-apple tree. I will share pictures when it is in full bloom...such pretty pink flowers (and I am not a "pink person".

Jeanie--Did DH get the ok to go camping? Sounds like you might need a little trip before all the work really gets started.

OK and Ggal--You both sure have been productive outside! Some days I wish I enjoyed gardening more...I do very little. Flowers just to make the front of the house look nice and making sure the trimming gets done around the trees (close to the house), steps and house. Once it dries out we will mow for the first time...need to go into MIL's and do her lawn this weekend too.

Dublb--Very exciting news about the house. Looks like a nice one. Hope things go faster for you than they did for us with our current house! We put our offer on this house the beginning of July (accepted verbally, it was for sale by owner and the guy kept going back and for on if he wanted to sell...it was going back to the bank if he didn't.) Long story short, we finally signed a purchase agreement in October and moved in in November...one good thing is we ended up getting it for $15,000 less than we had offered in July!

Honchey--Safe travels to you today (and tomorrow?) not sure if you make the trip in one day or not.

Mirabelle--how is that "stuff for you" coming along? I know sometimes I get that way too after doing things for other people.

Ggal--looking forward to seeing your baby quilt.

Jan--I feel like you do about "plants coming to die"...we have tried having plants inside but can rarely keep them a live for long. Right now we have a "spider plant". It was on the verge of dying until last summer when we let it "live" on the deck. When we brought it inside again in the fall we got 3 new shoots and have managed to keep it "happy". Have fun learning your new car!!

Janie--Did you get any sewing done yesterday after the twins went to school?

I hung the humming bird feeder this morning (yes I know a little late!) but just looked out and there is a hummer already enjoying the sugar water! DD (11yrs) and I baked chocolate chip cookies...with a few peanut butter chips thrown in. She likes to take them to the neighbors and sell them. Our neighbors don't take the time to bake so love having them brought to their door. She does most of the work, I just supervise to make sure she adds fractions right when doubling the recipe.

I got fabric for my June MB and also the last fabric needed for _______'s MB. Off to the clubhouse to work on these two blocks. Then back to the airplane quilt.

Hi All,

Lovely flowers, QNS, just lovely.
Anael those babies are such a miracle. How they have grown and starting to show their personalities already. it has been wonderful watching them grow.

Bev, Great news about your house. It looks very nice. Trying to be patient is not easy. We went through it from the sellers point of view when we wanted to move out here closer to the kids and grandkids. Keeping my fingers crossed that it sorts itself out soon.

Jeanie, I have great empathy for all that you are dealing with trying to get your reno organized and having a sick husband on top of that. I am hoping you get away on your trip. A little R and R can go a long way.

GGal, I hope you will post a picture of your Sunbonnet Sam when you get a chance.
JanRN congrats on the new car. That's always fun.

Carrie, I think that is so cool that your daughter is into baking. It's a fun thing for your two to do together even if she is mostly all the labour. I didn't get any sewing done after we took the twins to school. I am getting to the time of year when my sewing production slows down as I am outside a lot. The twins' older brother who will be 9 in August had a half day today so we picked him up at noon and kept him for the rest of the PM. Between the 3 of them I now have half the sandbox in the house, but I don't care. We had fun.

I acquired some InvisaFil 100 wt thread today and am itching to try it. I'm too tired to do anything productive tonight so will hope for a bit of sewing time tomorrow.
