Went into catch up mode yesterday ... and now today it's back to the regular rat-race.
Quilts are all de-ribboned and de-tagged and back into their regular homes.
PC is laying on my living room floor ... will do the blocking for the binding that there was not time for. Also, need to do a good thread picking, as despite thinking they are off, there's still some there.

Starting to gear up now for WORK activities, so may be more intermittent from here on.

Meanwhile, have just read what has happened here since I was here on Sunday.
And am now going to go back and do the back-reading from last week!

Thanks Everyone for all your kind words about the show ... I have some more pics that I'll try to get up later today. And yes, Granny_59's Mini Dresden went again to wow everyone!

*sigh* what a little bit of paradise we've all seen at The QNSue Estate!
Thanks for sharing it with us QNSue!
Now ....do as the Dr. says and take those meds ... and slooooow down! I think that's telling you that you need more quilting time!
JanRN ... Oh please save a seat for me on that FART tour! Reading GGal's query as to whether you are relaxing while sewing, made me wonder, about your chair? I find I need to sit a little higher for FMQing than when doing regular sewing. It gives me a better view of what I am doing, and lets my shoulders/back relax down, instead of hunching up. I have an adjustable drafting chair ... the lowest position is the highest of a typewriter chair. Just a thought!

MiraB ... it's so nice to know how much you love your daughter. You must be so proud of her doing for being such a Big Loser!!! How wonderful that the gym challenge ended with a fancy dress up occasion ... would make all of them seem like winners! Especially your DD ... she needs times like that to help encourage her towards more success. Please tell her, that I am rooting for her to continue on and down! Your Mountains are beautiful and I love the brown/blue/cream combo. Spectacular, indeed! Thanks for the reminder on the JuneMB ... I have mine here on my desk and must get it packaged up and to the PO.

OKSGlad ... oh so sorry, I thought your trip had been publicly announced here on the QB. I'm totally envious of you to be going ... though you know I would have chosen Jersey Isle!! Great that you are still here for the County Fair and then have DS and GF coming to home sit and provide the missing farm labour! Who knows? maybe DSGF will decide she's ready to become a Farmer! And looks like the OKHotel is open for business again ... yea for your DS/BIL arriving

Anael ... of course, you could always zip on over to Guernsey and find OKSGlad! Looks like you have that new camera figured out already! Your border fabrics are perfect ... from your stash? or did you have to return to the LQS? along with shots of your own sanctuary!!

QNSue ... patience, and you too will soon be quilting like Anael!

JeanieG ... I think you are away right now? Hope it's the break your body needs to get back in order, and then back to the zoo of dealing with the insurance people!

GGal ... I think you are behind on showing us pics ... or is that in the section I have not read?

DublB ... glad all your blocks have found their way to you .... pics please?

QNS,

the flowers are Campanula.

QuiltE, yes fabric from my stash. I'm still not that good at FMQ! With the BSR foot it's hard to see where I have to go, specially with echoing. But one day I'll get there

I have to do some tidying up here as I'll have a friend over for a cup of coffee tonight.

Catch up reading #4270 ------->

OKSGlad and JeanieG ... what a nice quilt block! What is the pattern name?

GGal ... I think you're going to get JanRN's box that shall never be opened .... OPENED!!! I bet they will make for some lovely samplers of random sized blocks!

Cinderella ... How nice that you were off to the Ball with your DD!

JanRN ... if you're going to get lost, anytime, at least head this direction instead of to Montreal! Does this mean that your car is all fixed up and back together again? What a successful FART!! We should see pics to know for sure!!! Is this place close enough that you can easily go to it? or is it a major excursion? Regardless, looks like it's more than worth the trip!

Honchey ... take all the time you need! I totally understand your need to lay low for awhile. When things overwhelm me, the first thing I know I "need" is to catch up on my sleep .. not always possible but definitely I function better when I get rested, even if it means delaying dealing with things til I am rested. Take care!!

CarrieM ... that's exciting that you are even thinking of a LA! Keep your eyes open and learn all you can, so that when you get an opportunity again, you are informed. And ... keep an eye on JanRNs S16's as a possibility too. (yes, I am still lusting over it!)

For any who missed the Quilt Canada link from QNSue ... here it is .....

Amazing work!!! .... far better quality than I saw in the pics from QC2012.
Some are absolutely beyond amazing!!

And Now .... I think I am all caught up ... at least for a few minutes!!!

Great stash shopping ... you couldn't have done better at the LQS.
I forget ... is this one for you?
That's where JanRN has it aced ... high clearance and SO much visibility!

Have a good time with your friend tonight!

Thanks, QuiltE, for the peak at more Quilt Canada. Amazing that its pieced together, one stitch at a time. And the the Canada Dry add, one little pigtailed girl pulls up the whole multi-ton truck from the 'roots' to serve more to visiting tourists...makes me laugh every time I see it. Those young Canada misses (Or of any age) are not to be messed with!

Thanks for the flower name, Anael. They made me smile.

The three little quineas are accepting TLC. Not so with the hen guinea who 'nested' under the bushes and went wild in the small cage with her nest. Too many hungry wild things here to leave her out in the 'open', but she did not accept the cage idea, so we sat her free and put the eggs under the brooding chickens again...then the eggs have a 50/50 chance.

We seen the sun briefly yesterday; its clouded up like a storm again today. Forecasted to be hot one tomorrow.

Thanks for another Virtual Garden tour--QNS & Anael those flowers are beautiful. I don't have to plant a thing--I'll just enjoy yours. QNS, take care of yourself and quit chasing those guinea hens. I remember my sister's guineas were really mean when you got near.

Jeanie, glad you're feeling better.

OK, or should I say Ilene Wright, enjoy your travels. Hopefully you & MrOK will have some time together when not at meetings.

QE, when can we see a pic of your whole PC???? Please, pretty please!

Anael, love what you did with the Attic Windows--great color combo, bright & cheery.

Carrie, since you are the Designated Driver does that mean you'll only get 2 quilts done this week instead of 4? I'm so jealous of your productivity and also your talent. Enjoy time with DD tho--they grow up too fast.

Mirab, speaking of DD, you must be so proud of her. Losing any amount of weight is tough but she's done fantastic. She is so beautiful.

Ggal, of course I'll send you blocks as long as you don't say "What was she thinking when she made this one?" LOL. And no, I don't want you to send postage. Think how much money you're saving me--I won't have to buy The Shed. I have a busy week & week-end coming up so I'll probably get to the Post Office Tuesday. Just don't laugh at my poor orphan blocks.

Have a great week everyone. We're supposed to have really severe weather tomorrow with 100 mph winds, hail, rain and all that. Hope it's gone by Thursday--another FART (I'm so spoiled LOL).

Anael--pretty bird quilt and flowers too.

Ggal--good thought on the GFG...not quite ready to start one of those. I did have little bit of time today as I dropped DD off at 8, then she went to a friend's after class until she had to drive at 12. I met them in the town near where her appt was...it was nice. I got my quilt to the point of needing to pin on borders so took that along to the ortho appt today.

Jan--LOL Yep just 2 quilts this week... I find I can be more productive when I have to squeeze in time. Funny you called me the driver...I am making her drive everywhere so she has as much experience as she can. She does a good job.

Praying for those who aren't feeling quite right that you get to feeling much better soon! Hugs!!

JanRN ... I'm hoping that I can get a pic this week, with it hanging off my deck ... though I won't do it til I have someone to help me as I want extra hands, so we do not drop it down into the dirt!

GGal ... how much of a bribe will it take to get you to show us the delights!

Bev--looks like a great place. Not a lot that needs to be done. Love the skylight in the kitchen! (I don't have near enough lighting in mine.)
