Mirab, that's a beautiful block Janie made and yes they all look great together. I have chronic bursitis in my left shoulder since high school. When it flares up, makes life miserable. Gets much worse when I FMQ. Just rest it and take meds and try not to sleep on that side (which is the only side I can sleep on). Shopping on-line does not aggravate it LOL.

Hope to spend all day sewing today. I had to laugh when Anne sent the next 3 months MB partners. I have a few MBs made ahead of time. Not one of them is on my list for the next 3 so I'd better get busy! Have a great day!

So much going on....Mirabelle you started the show with the beautiful block from Janie. Time for the rest of us to get ours in the mail. I'm glad sewing is talking to you again and sorry that your shoulder is not liking it. Anael is very helpful though. Did you see the sale at Hancocks? Paris Fleamarket by Moda and it has some of the most beautiful, soft florals.
Anael...your camera is giving you an entirely new creative outlet. You have an eye for beauty. Beautiful wall hanging.
QuiltE....nothing is going to knock that quilt hanger down. I hardly have room for a wall hanging!
Honchey...thinking of you....
QNS....I haven't heard the work nap since the first time. Resting in your sewing room is relaxing but it is not RESTING! Until the meds are used up, head on the pillow at least an hour a day. My kids never thought they needed the nap as they got older, but it was not unusual for most of them to sleep through the timer telling them they could get up. I have a reservation for the embrodiery trunk show. I didn't realize it wasn't until August.
JanRN...so you can go FARTing with a clear conscious and really enjoy it...one FART for each day worked. I too found that the MB's for the rest of the summer weren't ones I'd made.
Carrie...the reason I asked a out your DD is that in some states, young drivers can't have young friends in the car until they are over 18 I think. All of the running for her right now will pay off later when she can do some driving for the family.
OK....when do you leave on your trip? How long will you be gone? It will be a good test for the rest of the family to have both of you gone at the same time. I know farmers never seem to retire but the young ones really need to know what it take!
Jeanie....did the adjuster take you seriously? Like QuiltE I wonder if both of you had health problems kick up because of what's going on with the house. Do take care of yourself.
DD....whooo, whoooo. Hope all is well with you.
Janie....beautiful block for Mirabelle. Are you with your southern family now?
Bev....what a nice house! I hope for your sake there are no delays. When I sold my condo a few years ago, I managed to keep the buyer but it took an extra 2 months to get all of the details buttoned down. It was worth the wait though. I got a very good price for what was current on the market.
Good class yesterday. I have one row of Jamestown to put together and then to decide if I will quilt it more. I do have a scrappy quilt that I plan to use for FMQ practice and a different method of QAYG. Today there is necessary shopping, laundry and maybe gardening so whatever I do so far as quilting will have to be of the mindless sort. Have a great day everyone!

GG, great to see you again and thanks! Good luck with your FMQ practice You can do it!

Here's one more picture I just made. I thought it was weed but decided to let it grow and see what happened? The flower is really tiny (about 3/8 ")

Can any of you tell me why I think I have to make Golden Syrup? I saw a recipe somewhere but I don't have a clue where and what it was!

Clarity of the bloom is wonderful, Anael...a touch of yellow sunshine! Like it is saying 'thank you'!

Got up early this morning, just after six, and help dh move the duck house to the orchard with the other ducks, and turn out each group of the chickens out, since dh moved the hen pen into the main chicken yard. The opened up the driveway gate, ate breakfast and went back to bed. Seems the antibiotic need to be taken of a morning with the Mucinex 600 mg., so that's what I did this morning. That three weeks of Mucinex does not let me do much except sleep.

Not sure I will get much in the quilt room done, or on the mystery blocks, but looking forward to seeing more pictures of them as they arrive. We all get a treat of looking at lovely blocks. Mirabelle, your new one fits right it and it was nice to see all of them again and admire every one of them. Just gently pet with your right hand.

So disappointed in my embroidery machine. Wish I could take mine back and get a full refund. No way to transfer free hand patterns into the design without spending a bundle on software and maybe not then...for the software is for the BIG $$$$$$ machines. And it will not do the job I bought it for; so back to satin stitching the outline of a guitar on each of the 120 blocks for BIL...a few at a time. not today

OksewGlad, there's another pattern for the Iowa Quilt in the booklet, that shows the Kona cotton colors off of the 80 shops hop.....in four block sections. One Kona color charm from each shop; Knowing not everyone was going to 80 shops, apparently they designed the 'star block' quilt with the Iowa colored fabric. Hopefully, next year, I can get to the Eastern part of the state.

Everyone have a good day and night. I can wait all day.....never see a word written and come on the next morning and there has been a lot of good chatter...and it gives me more to read before breakfast!!

QNS, thank you, you have such a great way of saying things!
I'm sorry you're so disappointed in your embroidery machine. I know the software is very expensive. I never learned to use it properly. I got PE 8 with my machine but still don't have a clue how it works.
I do have lots of embroidery designs and I'm very happy with them. Did you buy the machine to make your own designs? I tried that once, had a picture and tried to convert that but it didn't work.

I wasn't going to post this pic of my Rosie quilt but I thought maybe it will encourage Ggal with her FMQ. This is the first "real" project I did on my Sweet 16 and I still suck at FMQ. The blocks really need more quilting. Next time..... So Ggal, look at this and know you can do it and probably much better!!!

Love it, JanRN!! Now IF I could do half as well, I might invest in a Sweet Sixteen!! Beautiful piecing job on the quilt, too, love the Christmas colors.

I am planning on sending GG some orphan blocks, abut no posting of them...so sad...hope that some one will want to use them or destroy them!

I willl have to check on the golden syrup, Anael...we always made 'maple' syrup....sugar, water and maple favoring...it has a light golden color.
