GrannyQ, I'm so sorry you and your hubby have to go through this.

Your block is gorgeous! Very well done and beautiful colours!

QNS, I would love to sit in your sewing room and pet your stash! I'm sure it will take a few days

I photoshopped my pooped peonies so they don't look so sad anymore

GrannyQ -

So sorry to hear about your husbands problems. Prayers for you both!

Wow, that a great block from QuiltE - don't those four look marvelous together!

Love your Bonus B wall hanging, that is what I'm doing with mine too.

The block you sent to Dublb is so pretty. Great use of color and workmanship! Love it!

Ggal, sounds like you had a fun trip. I think we've all been to a "hoarder's" shop. We went in one and some of the fabric was what I made my prom gown from and that was in 1966!!! Exact same fabric LOL.

GrannyQ, so sorry for what you & DH are dealing with, it's not an easy trip. Just know all your PC buddies are riding and praying with you both. That's an awesome block QE made for you; your Mystery quilt is going to be stunning. And I love the block you sent Dublb-great color combination and those points--wow!!

Anael, just showing off the new camera--love the pics of your poor peonies. My neighbor's are looking exactly the same after last weeks rains.

GrannyQ...beautiful block for Dubib and QuiltE's really does play well with your earlier ones. So sorry about your DH's health. I will be praying for both of you.
Anael...how creative you are with your camera. Thanks for sharing.
QNS...hope you can get the sewing tables resolved to your satisfaction. I'll try to catch up with the pictures. It's such a process from my iPad and my camera isn't much better.
OK...I bought a bundle of FQ's of men's shirtings at the hoarders shop. I loved how your DGD's quilt turned out and will try something similar.
QNS...at the first shop, I got 10 yards of tone on tone cream, and found three other bolts I could finish for the full 50% savings and about 16 yards in all. Pretty much blew what I wanted to spend for the whole day but it didn't stop me entirely as I was able to find fabrics at other stops which I needed for a couple of other quilts I have planned.
i planned to mail this Month's MB today but I can't find it. It's been on my design wall for a couple of weeks and I must not have put it with the other blocks I've completed when I laid out another quilt. I'm going to give it over the weekend to show itself before I consider making another one. It has to be here someplace safe where I knew I would look for it. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

OMG Gardnergal, isn't that the way it always goes! You put something in a "safe" place so you can find it, and then can't find the "safe" place. LOL I've done that before too!!!

Just giving you a bad time, GG...I am guilty of not posting either...as I told Anael, first stop with the virtual RV would be here!! Whatever will be ,will be with the sewing tables, but I hope we can get what really fits with the new machines.

Love that AC today; its hit 90 degrees outside. Yep, its summertime! And so dry in the garden.

Got through most of the containers in the Quilt Room, but still looking for a certain blue fabric to complete a nine patch....where does things go???? Beats me; may have to say a prayer tonight, like I did with the Farmer's Scrap quilt instructions and it hit me on the head the next day in the quilt room, literally falling down off the shelf. Appreciated the help.

Watched House Hunters on TV today and a family was moving from London to the Isle of Guernsey and looking for a house. Even though they had $900.000.00 it was not going very far for a family home 'cause not many was available. But they loved their life on the island and being able to grow closer together in their new home. Looks like an interesting place with beaches everywhere. Hope you enjoy your visit there, OksewGlad.

I don't have time to go through all the pages I have missed in the last week. We are having terrible flooding in our province right now. We had hoped to come home today, but the flooding in Calgary is so bad, that we can't get through. Calgary ( pop 1.1 million) is virtually at a standstill.

We are in Pincher Creek right now. It's not bad here, but the Oldman River, very near us to the north is doing 4700 cubic metres of water per minute. It is really scary. Mother Nature is really not happy with Alberta. Hopefully we can get home in the next few days, but it snowed up in the mountains, so the rain will just pull it all down again, preventing the rivers from cresting. It really is awful.

I hope a have a few minutes ( hours?) to check all your news and see the pictures, but it won't be today!

Janie, may you and your family stay safe...floods can come rushing down the mountain side...

DSIL was in the middle of the Black Forest fire near Colorado Springs, Colorado and had to evacuate her home and move her horses. It burned 2200 homes, but hers was spared and she was allowed back into her home; she was so happy.
