Congrats to Mr & MsOKSewglad--you've worked hard and earned the honors. Thanks for the pics--yes, Anael, my first thought was yum! chocolate moo cows!

Bev, great news about the house purchase. I don't envy you selling yours and moving (altho the only way my house will get really cleaned is if we move).

Jeannie, I can almost hear those hammers pounding away. Finally the work will start--bet you're anxious.

Anael, cool wheels!

And keeping with the COW theme ... here's the first pics of Out To Pasture.
Looks like they broke thru the fence and got into the flowers!!
More will follow.

Straight (not quite) line quilting on the Irish Chains, with FMQing in the borders.
So what FMQing does one do for cows?
Clover of course, and even the odd 4-leafed one mixed in, just like IRL!!

Hi everyone,

How much fun it is to log on and see all the activity and pictures.

Bev: I am glad to see your block arrived. I was a little worried that you were having rouble with some of your mail so I sent it early. It only took a week. It's called Scrap Jar Star. I'm pleased for you that your house purchase is going well.

OKSewGlad: I loved the pic of your grand daughters. Also would you mind repeating yourself about Laredo? I missed so much but am really interested to know if you had cattle over there and all the details.

Aneal: Good set of wheels you have there. I admire you. I would love to ride a bike again, but I am too chicken in the city . I also want to roller blade, but fear of road rash is holding me back.

Mirabelle, Whoo hoo. Isn't it fun when your team wins? I sort of remember what that was like. I am a CFL fan, but our team has stunk badly the last few years. Our season kicked off at the beginning of July and this year doesn't look good. Sigh.

QuiltE, No Stampede for me. Not ever. You couldn't pay me enough to go. This week is the fair here, and I love to go through the livestock barns. The horses are my favourite, especially the Percherons, with the cows and sheep a close second.

I won't change my mind about Spike Your English. I'm stubborn like that. I have challenged myself to get a whole bunch of WIPs and UFOs done. I really need to get the sheep quilt for my friend started. We will be gone most of Sept. between my Fossil Party in MB and our trip to the UK so there will no sewing that month. I will love to be the cheerleader this round, get all caught up and be ready for the next group project. My arm shall not be twisted.

QuiltE, out of your comfort zone and into the clovers Great FMQ ! ! !

Janie, if I don't have to I don't ride in the city either. I don't like it and I'm not used to it anymore. So I'm going out in the country.
My DDIL started to roller blade this week, she has to get rid of some weight I told her to wear protective stuff but she just laughed and said she won't fall. I hope she doesn't!

So JanieW is a daredevil ... and ready to roller blade! Beyond my desires ... too klutzy on my feet, let alone thinking of adding wheels to them. Bike, I'm OK, and envy Anael's free-wheeling ... while in a small village, the road in front of my place is busy, and the end of the road, either directions are highways. So has taken the fun and desire away. Miss it!

Oh I knew you'd have brown cows too, Anael, just thought you'be be "patriotic" to those B+Ws! Yup, stepped up to clovers, and was really enjoying doing them. I think there was only once where I got myself into a corner and could not get out. A few places I probably could have done a better job of keeping a balance of lines, clovers and open space. Hard to keep an eye on all! Though almost wish it was NOT on that print .... so it would show better as I did like the look on the plain parts! At least I took a safe route for my first venture.

Here's to a FUN Fair Time JanieW ... I love seeing the heavies all dressed up in their fancy harness and then seeing them on the go with their wagons. I bet you have quite a few hitches and hope for some photos to enjoy ths show vicariously!!

Thanks DDamsel and Anael ... I'll have some more pics of all three when I get some time to sort thru the shots I took this morning. It was dreadfully hot (only 32C, humidex 41 ... I've started to say ONLY to remind myself it could be worse and to try to FEEL that it is cooler than what it is!!! ) .... and by the time I did all the pics, I was drippy, and my arms were sunburned! UGH!

So much going on. First a meet and greet in the virtual RV with everyone. We did make history yesterday.
Carrie...the SYE block is stunning. There is a collection at my LQS that I've been drawn to and have some FQs of. Might just use that for my main fabrics and add other accents.
Anael...you are brave to cycle but I suspect that more people of all ages do it in your country than here in the US.
Mirabelle...worth staying up with the popcorn to see the win. A rather high score too!
Jeanie...horray! Contractor on site. I don't really have an opinion on your PC other than to say your blocks look really good together.
QuiltE....I think you're hooked on FMQ! Good job.
JanRN...only one more day and then the promised FART. Where are you going this time?
Dubib...great blocks and good news on the house. Now the packing can start in earnest. I never enjoyed moving but it is a good time to dispose of excess/unwanted stuff. Is it still raining?
Janie...I would love to go to the stampede. There was always a little rodeo on July 4 when I was a kid and I still enjoy watching cowboys ride! Those big horses at the fair are also a favorite. Seeing them in competition and how their drivers handle them is real artistry.
QNS...we will all be ready to celebrate with you today when your tables arrive and are in place! Sounds like the timing is good too with the rest if the room sorted and organized. Good job!
OK....loved your pictures, especially the DGDs hand in hand. And congratulations to Mr&Mrs 4-H! The little and big things you both did over the years when there really wasn't time or energy for it have been noticed and appreciated by many.
GrannyQ...thinking if you and yours.
Honchey...welcome home. How nice that QOTS appreciated the courtesy you showed them by asking if we could use SYE as a quilt along.
i picked blackberries first thing this morning and will freeze them for making jam later. It's just too hot to be cooking today. I'm settled in by the fan for the rest of the day and putter in my sewing room. Maybe the Ocean Waves will make me feel cooler is I don't do too much pressing.

Love your quilt QuiltE! You did a fabulous job with the FMQ Clover pattern. Did you draw it on first, or just go for it??? I would be chicken to try to do it without it being drawn on. LOL That is why I am taking another FMQ class next month!
