Oh, oh, oh I got a block from Miribelle! Talk about purdy!! She said that it was a "Stained Glass Star." I'll git a pict tamarrow.
I have started plannin' my Sept MB. It's gonna be PP. I have a 9" pp pattern & have figered out how much ta enlarge it butt am outta freezer paper. I stopped at the LQS & they are outta the kind that goes right through the printer easy. sigh. I guess I'll have ta do it the old fashion way. Use the roll kind that ya git at the grocery store, & iron it on ta the paper, then cut the FP the size o' the paper. Now it can be run through the printer. sigh I hate doin' it that way. LOL It's better than not havin' FP a'tall. I had better just do it tamarrow & quit grippin'.

Gee Whiz Jan, Do we have to make an appointment now??? Dh, Older GS and myself went to Seaside Heights about a week before we came down here in NC ...we walked the boardwalk, ate sausage & peppers drank fresh made lemonade..2 very old traditions for Seaside...Matty played the machines in the arcade and we all had alot of fun...so much of what I remember when I spent summers there is gone, gone, gone...now with the devastating fire the other end of the boardwalk will be gone...Our Family Reunion on Saturday is only a scant mile from the boardwalk...I hope there won't be a problem going over the bridge to get there...

Me thinks there will be some minis in the future for us...Hey, why not??? we do just about everything but them!!!

Oh such a bright & happy block GrannyQ & QNS!!! All your blocks go so well together QNS!!!I'll make sure to mention all of you in my prayers...

QuiltE, I won $75 tonite at BINGO...YAY!! I felt your vibes all the way down here!! I got everything except the tub bath done..shower instead and was sitting at 11:02...I'm winding down having a glass of wine and hoping for a good nites' sleep...
I have 2 other small lap size charity throws that I'm also crocheting besides the one for myself...and YES, I do crochet in the car and I do some hand work...I even sometimes do some rotary cutting of strips using a 6" ruler...It all depends on what I feel like working on...that's part of the problem...I bring everything I think I'll need in case I get bored....I sometimes sleep...I will help out and drive for about 2 hours to let DH catch a few ZZZZZZ"s..
Going to play a few games of solitare then it's beddy bye for me...
Oh by the way, my knee is feeling much better after staying off it..Hint hint QNS...still some twinges when I turn without being cautious...but it is sooo much better than several days ago...Will have the Tens ready in case I need it on my journey home...Good Night All...H

Honchey ... I heard that B-I-N-G-O all the way up here, across the 49th!!!! Two good wins. Glad to know that sitting more is helping your knee to settle down and feel a little better. I've knit and crocheted in the car and could now see doing GHGs, but rotary cutting? My goodness you are brave!

OKSGlad ... on the what to do in cars ... I well remember one car trip to WDE where I knit a gazillion miniature socks, toques and mittens for Christmas decorations. Still hang them on my tree every year. Are you going to be able to manage a WDE get-away this year?

Yippeee!!! ... have my September MB about 3/4 done. So, _________ I should be able to mail it on Monday.

Calling Nurse Jan--you won't believe what I just did. Yup sewed my finger--pointer left hand. Needle broke off too. Fortunately blood did not fall onto the quilt and it has a lot of white in it! So ran upstairs with hand up--got the cold water going; band aids out; antibiotic salve; no longer bleeding but throbs a little. Whew close call--last time I did it was in the 80"s; but had a bit of the needle left in my right pointer finger. That one went through the nail. Course it was about midnight then too. ER MD was an older fellow--didn't believe me when I insisted that there was a piece in my finger. But he cut into the end of the finger until low and behold he found it. Oh ladies just be careful!

Okay back to machine quilting--I was doing some straight lines so not FMQing.

Calling it quits now--got the blue and white one quilted as well as the binding on--now to hand stitch it. The cream and red center is quilted but want to stipple in the red borders and don't have a very good match so will pick some thread up tomorrow. Good excuse to stop at LQS right? These measure about 24" square each--will share a picture when I get done tomorrow. Time line's going good.

Will pick a few apples tomorrow for apple crisp.

No don't do zucchini QE sorry. Now good night.

Gee I am only gone a day and it takes me whole hour to catch up

To all our walking wounded I hope you heal quickly, Anael take care of yourself, not a nice infection to deal with. QNS slow down a little. Ouch needle through the finger have only seen that once and it was not my finger thank goodness and yes the air turned blue with choice words

I am home from embroidery club and stupid learner drivers on the highway need to learn to look in their side mirrors, I was overtaking them on an overtaking lane and they just decided to move into my lane, missed me by inches. Thank goodness for good brakes and new tyres.

Sorry QE no zucchini slice recipe, but a lady at club today made zucchini scones and they were light and fluffy and so delicious

Dublb I am so glad you liked the block, I also have all my MB's finished and on the design wall, which makes taking photos of other stuff very difficult.

Anael I redid that block and am happy that you helped me with that decision, see Quilt Inspector comes in hande sometimes

Now it is time to cook dinner and relax, or maybe I will go check out that crochet rug pattern first

OK I sewed my finger to a quilt once--OUCH!! Is your Tetanus shot up to date? (They're good for 10 years). I had to get one at the time and I think my arm hurt more than my finger. Since you do so much outdoor/farm work it's important to get one today or tomorrow if you're due. (nurses can be such nags!)

OK NOOOOOOOOOOO that hurts! I did that once too, needle still in my finger. Late hubby turned green when he looked at it but pulled it out.

Did you all notice it's Friday 13th today?
I was burning some DVD's for Mick, programm stopped working at dvd # 9. Removed it from the computer, installed again, same problem. Found another programm, that didn't work at all. So another one, that one did work. DVD tray opened automaticly which I didn't know. Coffee cup was in the way, keyboard soaked so after I cleaned up the mess I ran upstairs to find a spare keyboard. When I was upstairs I heard a 'bang' downstairs. Went looking, yes, tray opened again, coffee cup again in the way, is now in the bin
I think I better watch a movie instead of FMQ today!
