Good morning, or should I say afternoon? It's 3 pm here

QNS, I hope you feel better soon. Nice to be reunited with a long lost friend!
Dublb, take it easy and take good care of yourself!
GG, nice to get some UFO's done. Empty boxes......not here
Mirabelle, I hope all will be ok with Mr. M.

I have to go to hospital on October 17th for treatment. I hope once will be enough but she wasn't sure. We will see.
Bram isn't doing any better, still doesn't empty his bottles. He only gained 10.5 ounces over the past 6 weeks.

Hi Everyone, I haven't disappeared tho it may seem that way...I haven't been ill...my knee & ankle have been cooperating since the weather hasn't been rainy or damp...I just can't overdue the walking..

DH left on Sunday with a bunch of his golfing buddies for a 4 day stay in Denver, Pa so I decided to visit DSis in De. for a couple of days...got home last nite...I didn't bring my CP as I usually use hers and when she told me her CP died..I was lost...So now after I delete a ton of emails I will relax and read the pages I missed while I was away...

I wasn't able ta go back ta sleep so I played w/some fabric. I went through my bin o' patriotic fabrics, got 'em organized, picked out fabrics for one block & got 3 fabrics picked out for another block. Then I went back over ta the old house & finished vacuumin' the ceilin'. My shoulders are killin' me again.

Preparing for tomorrow...Have JeanieG recipe for apple cake made up and in the oven...two loaves of oatmeal bread rising and 18 pints ready to put the hot apple slices into...no sugar on them...fresh and juicy they do not need any sugar. Extra mashed potatoes and gravy in the refrigerator for tomorrow when I do not cook or work...maybe. Birthdays are not meant to be work alcoholics day. Of course, Murphy might come back and prove me wrong.

Dh has been a big help today; he peeled all the apples and helped core them and slice them with his gadgets...while I moved slowly through what I could do. Fixed him his fried chicken and gravy with mashed potatoes at lunch. He came back from town and started washing up the dishes as I finished up kneading bread and mixing up the cake.

Is it time for the second break yet..??? Nope. back to work.

QNS you wear me out just listening to all you get accomplished.

And dublb has been cleaning overtime! Sounds like you will be getting on the PC trail once again with the fabric organization!

Not much going on here. Later.

Well, I am not sure where my message went but I know I wrote one earlier this afternoon....

I got a pretty block while I was away from OK. It will go very well with my other blocks...I'll get a picture of them all this weekend. Didn't make it to my clubhouse today and after my appt tomorrow I go to work. Today was spent unpacking and getting the house back in order. The last load of laundry is in the dryer now.

GNS--I don't know how you get all you do done in a day. I feel like I do a lot some days, but all the food prep you do is amazing!

Good to read all the recent chatter and hear from most everyone....sorry for not commenting on everything...too much happening in the last week!

Beautiful block, Carrie.

I miss-stepped on what I said earlier. There are 28 pints of apples for the day, all processed. the other half of the apples are still in the garage. One very good Apple Cake done. And four loaves of bread baked and on the counter. Dh is test tasting at this moment.

Just back from the hospital, they will ring me when I have to pick him up..

Carriem another beautiful MB to add to your collection

Here is a very bad photo of my little stars, I am hoping to make this into a Queen size quilt, we will see how far I get with it. So far so good. The Quarter Square Triangles are Robert Kaufman Fusions and the other one is a RK Screen print, they went together and I had enough so that made that decision easier. I didn't want these to be scrappy as I wanted some structure to the quilt. Hope that makes sense.

GGal I have a small basket on my table and toss all my little bits into it, when it is getting full I have a day or sorting, strings all go in a shoe box (when it gets full I make a few string blocks to be used later) the only squares I cut are 2 1/2 inches and they are kept in a container. If I can cut a set of star points for my little stars they go into my container along with background pieces, anything smaller gets put into another container for paper piecing my Wild and Goosey blocks.
If I want to "just sew" without thinking I will do some stars or paper piece some goosey blocks and everything is ready to go.

This is going to be a great looking quilt mirabelle. I can see the secondary star forming with the QST's. Nice job.
