OKSGlad ... what a nice quilt for your sister! Is it a surprise for her? I have fallen in love with those self threading needles for the ease of use too! Even for a longer thread, it;s much easier than trying to thread the eye! ABout your tension issues .... do you have a BSR for your machine? Yes, it is more apt to happen when you are doing a tighter curve. but I have not had any problems since I got the BSR. I've been using Aurifil. Hope that all that gardening, has not invited Ilean back for a visit.

MiraB ... Such nice looking loaves! Do you have maple syrup? I have a banana muffin recipe with maple syrup in it that;s delicious!

QE the quilt was started in 09. DSis BD is 09-09 and in 09-09-09 I made her 9 quilted gifts--small things mostly and this quilt was to be #9. Notice it's a 9P in the center and there are 9 blocks. Well it has sat for quite a while because when I got the blocks done they "screamed" at me. They were so loud looking and I was going to use a burgundy print for the setting squares and borders. It took me a while to come up with Plan B; but I think it has worked out well.

No BSR on the machine--just me and the foot pedal.

Ilean is terrified of exercise. As long as I do my daily exercise routine she has been keeping away. Let's hope it continues. Irises will be so pretty next summer won't they?

Well that's such good news ... scare Ilean away with exercise!
What a sister ... nine presents! Well, worth the wait. Does she know there are nine, or will t his be a BIG surprise to her? You are so good with the symbolism, you just do it naturally now, and don;t even notice it happening!
So no BSR ... time for a trade and upgrade. Just like the farm equipt .... though my husband would never have seen any logic in that, being that there was no money to be made. arrgghhh!

OK - that quilt for your DSis turned out great. I love the colors! It is always fun to get another UFO out of the way.

I'm itching to get my Orca Bay out of its box and get it sandwiched and start quilting on it. That is one of my UFO's that I want to get started with after my camping trip. Maybe I can get it quilted before the next Bonnie Hunter Mystery. She is posting the fabric requirements the end of this month, and the first step is suppose to be posted on November 29. What fun!!! How many of you are along for this Mystery Ride?

JeanieG ... I would love to do a Bonnie Hunter, but for now, I need to focus on so many others that I am in the midst of doing. And you can remind me of that, JeanieG, every time I even hint at starting something new.

What I'd really like to do sometime is one of those online Mysteries, where you work on it all during the one day ............ and do it at the same time as some of the rest of you ladies. When someone spots one and is eager to do it, let me know, please!!

QuiltE I think those Mystery quilts are at Planet Patchwork, they do one for Superbowl weekend and another at New Year if my failing memory is correct.

Yes I do have maple syrup, brand name Steeves and it has the Canadian flag on the bottle so it must be good right

Oksewglad I am not sure what to say for your quilting problem, I always slow down on a curve for FMQ otherwise my machine tends not to set the stitches on the back. Hope that makes sense.

JeanieG I would love to do a Bonnie mystery but I am always confused over fabric choices and whether I will like the pattern, (I know I'm funny like that) I did make Roll Roll Cotton Boll but only after it had been revealed. Will wait and see if my ufo pile has gone down by then.

I just visited Bram in hospital. He's not smiling anymore, looks sad and lonely. He's back on 8 bottles a day, smaller amounts so he might not puke that much.

MiraB ... Of course it;s got to be good, being that it's Canadian!!! It must cost you a fortune by the time it gets there. It's quite expensive here, and many won't buy it because of that. Me? I have it all the time ... just adds a nice flavour dimension to things. I'll look for the banana recipe for you.

Anael ... More {{{{HUGS}}}}} for you. Poor Little Bram ... he'll be so alone. And Isa will be lost too, without her brother at home with her. Try to allow yourself to rest today ... and bank it up, for days to come.
