MiraB ... I used to work with some French Canadian girls, and yes, I know exactly what you mean about your Phillipinos! Once Upon A Time is so sweet, so precious. Absolutely love the gentleness of the colours/fabrics used.

JanRN ... Smiling at Patches and the word "cheese".
Then no doubt he got to understand "fromage"

Here's my puppy story ..... Lucy (PB Irish Setter x Travelling Man!) loved truck rides. All she needed to hear was the jingle of the truck keys coming down off the hook on the wall and she'd be gone like a bullet from the family room to the door and out to the truck. They used to tease her, and jiggle the car keys ... nope, no fooling her, she knew the difference! Or If she saw/heard the truck running she'd sit by the door, til the door was opened. Didn't want to miss her truck ride. Dogs are far from stupid!

QNSue ... I tend to agree with your DH. Once the winter weather comes, I keep a backpack in my truck with mitts, scarf, hat etc. just to be prepared. We get in the habit of not over dressing, knowing we are just from the house to the car to the store (or wherever) and don't need much extra warmth. The unexpected can happen (just ask DDamsel) ...and it's better to be prepared. And if I need to be out in wicked weather, the old snowmobile suit will be added. As you have oft said ... better to be prepared!

Jeanie, I received your block last week, didn't get a picture then, camera died had to buy a new one, trying to use something new is very frustating with the new gadgets now on the market. The block is called Card Basket. I really like it, it goes well with the other blocks, thank you very much.

Now all blocks together, really like all of them

I have been having a lot of computer problems, but I have really enjoyed looking at all the pictures when I can get online.
I go for my 2nd radiation appointment tomorrow, not exactly when they will start treatment, will be 33 of them, so I won't be on much now. DH has not decided if he wants to continue with another chemo treatment or not. He is tired all the time from the treatments he has been getting and not sure he wants to continue with them or not. The cancer is getting more pronounced in the bones now, the last necular bone skan showed. Not very encourgeing for all of us.

Oh grannyQ it does look lovely with your other blocks.

Good luck with your radiation, I will keep you and your DH in my prayers. I think it is common for people to not want more treatments. Sometimes the treatments are worse than dealing with the disease! I have a friend who only went for one Chemo treatment, she ended up in the hospital for five days from the Chemo! She decided no more! I think she has only six months to live! We have been friends for 45 years! It was her choice and now is being helped by Hospice. I have to accept her choice, although it breaks my heart!

GrannyQ and JeanieG ... great block and plays so well with the rest of the group.

GrannyQ ... It's so sad that you are both facing such a horrible thing, at the same time. I can fully respect your husband for his decisions as I'm not so sure I would go thru even one round of chemo. I hope that the two of you can get the support you might need, to help you manage throughout. {{{HUGS}}}

DublB ... Stay positive ... a better deal will come.

Grannyq what a beautiful block and don't they all look great together. Keeping you and your DH in my prayers, it is such a difficult decision to make.

Bev I am sure there will be a better deal to come for you, just stay positive.

I have spent the morning grocery shopping, getting my haircut, going to the newsagent for lotto tickets, putting some bets on for the Melbourne Cup, home to put the groceries away. Packaged up my MB and went back to town to the Post Office. Also had to go to the Stationery Store, thank goodness I only live 5 minutes from the centre of town. Home now to have lunch and maybe watch the horse race

NinaSue I sent you an e-mail for your gmail address, hope you get it.

I think I need a coffee
