So much on my plate these last two weeks. Thinking of Anael and wishing her the best as well. Finally made it to the sewing room and found my November block unmailed----ooooohhhhh ssshhhh*************. So Nov MB person I apologize and will get it in the mail asap. Grrr. Oh I just read GGal's 11-28 comment and whew we are two of a kind. Guess there's two of us feeling guilty. Now three of us--hey the more the merrier. No wonder there hasn't been many postings!

Lovely green quilt, Anael. Sew thoughtful QE to send a spooky surprise. Dot to dot quilting

mirabelle--bargello quilt will look picture perfect.

GrannyQ--Honchey sent you a cute whimsical block--matches so nicely too. And thanks for missending the SYE photo. They look wonderful. I haven't been following the SYE threads so appreciate seeing yours and the bit of mirabelle's, too.

Love the bright and sunny Lost and Found Janie and QNS and adds more cohesion to your quilt.

dublb Yeah!!!!! What a relief with a check in the bank.

QE you scored with the block from mirabelle and another great grouping. Glad to hear Frosty's done.

What cute pictures from Holland--both old and new ones. Quintessential Dutch kids all around.

Oh Jan--love the rich colors of the grab bag gift.

A delightful block from Carrie to Janie!

Trying to get all caught up on everyone's coming and goings. Whew we do all manage to get a lot done, don't we? Glad to hear of everyone's weekend. We had a great one. Also nephew from WVa was here as he goes to school in Iowa and didn't drive home. He just joined in the laughter, chores, and general chaos. Gave option to new fiance several times that she could always back out!! Think she kind of likes our crazy household. All for now with lots of catch up to do. Later.

Progress report ----- I am mad utterly mad ----- had to get that off my chest and I am going cross eyed

I have 22 rows sewn, and another one ready to attach. I am sewing them in sets of 10 rows, trying to keep it all straight.

Tomorrow no sewing for me, I am heading to town for the presentation of quilts to Ronald McD House, and lunch with DD. I will probably pass DH on the highway as he heads home.

Mirabelle, how lovely that is going to be....far beyond what I could do ever. My vision in the sewing room is not what I expected at all, now to decide what I am going to do about the problem. Will check with eye doctor again.

OK, good to hear from you. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving Holiday, too.

Dublb, the MB sent to you was the first one I made, not the one I indented to mail to you, so the right one will go into the mail this Wednesday. We are trying not to go to town more than once a week; tomorrow is Dr.'s wellness check ups, then on to K. and back to my home town...where with the Hy-Vee grocery shopping I can get 30 cents a gallon off my next fill-up at the gas station. My card is up to $1.32 a gallon off right now...like getting a fill up for 50% less.

Hope when I dig into the sewing closet I can find my knit ribbing to fix dh new coat sleeves to be warmer. It's a tall big man's coat, and he ain't tall!! (It hangs on him like he is wearing the Jolly Green Giant's coat! ) They do not sell the big man's parka with the knit ribbing in the cuffs and its the closest thing I can find that is warm enough for him.

Everyone have a good day!

OK--Good to hear from you. Sounds like you are keeping busy like always.

Mirabelle--That quilt is going to be beautiful! Nice to see how it's "growing". Is the presentation of quilts just your quilts or your "group's" quilts? I am curious how many people got theirs finished.

QNS--I hope things improve in the sewing room. I am sure it will take some getting used to.

Well time to wake kids up for school...

Good Morning!

YES! I received a MB from JeanieG, but my camera has misplaced its self again after the holiday

what a DRAMA holiday! grrrrr..... so Wednesday night I sat down with DH and calmly explained to him that I was taking the kids and leaving to go to my parents house.... it was the first time in our marriage it didnt turn into a fight! progress is nice! but we still spend holidays apart... I dont know when he will put his foot down and stop getting guilted into things he dosent want to do, things that take him away from his family HERE. he gets suckered in and takes care of who throws the biggest fit! GGGGRrrrrrr..... OhWell!

I decided a month ago to replace the front door with a better insulated door, and now that I have the door and am all ready to do it... we have a big storm rolling in. so switching gear and batten down the hatches instead! maybe take some time and sew a little

Have a good one ladies! Hugs for Dear Anael

Everyone must be pretty busy today...it's been pretty quiet here. I was able to get 5 more blocks tied today. So that is 10 done and 25 to go. My goal is to get them all tied by the end of the weekend and put the binding on next week so I can deliver it next Thursday night when I take the kids to archery practice. (This is the crazy quilt for one of the coaches.)

Next Thursday is also the day I go to the surgeon for my "re-check" on my shoulder. The pool PT is helping a little bit, but I still can't do much of what I want to do for very long. Well even doing things I don't want to do (like washing dishes and folding laundry) cause it to act up.

My dh is still on dish duty and does his own laundry. I see the specialist next Wednesday (a week from this Wednesday) to choose glasses; right eye and left eye do not agree on what they see 'cause the left one needs prescription lens. Also they need to have a 'reading lens spot' in the lower quarter. I hope that makes the lines line up in quilting and be truly straight across.

Carrie, I hope you find a good solution with your shoulder.

Everyone still warm and safe.

It must be very frustrating for you Carrie. I certainly hope you get relief.

Foggy day and morning here. I did get the cardboard from my new cupboards off the front porch and placed on the hillside next to the driveway. Hoping to kill some weeds before I do some planting next spring. Also got the trash burned--have to watch the wind so the trash had built up over the weekend. I recycle as much as I can (got that cleared out last week.) so my garbage is mostly paper based. Non burnable goes to the community garbage drop off with the recyclables. Amazing how little I throw to the landfill.
Oh a bright spot to my day. A beautiful star block arrived from GGal. Haven't rustled up the camera so hope to get one posted tomorrow. I love the gold center she put in. Thanks so much.
Dealing with some hypertension issues so try not to overdue until it settles down. BP tends to go up when I've been doing too much.

Just got home, I am so tired, left at 8 this morning and it is now 4 in the afternoon.

Carriem we handed over 25 quilt sets, 5 were from me, 7 from my patchwork group and the rest from the Club that has organised all this, their club name is Blankets of Love. I think my group still have 3 to finish and the Blankets girls still have about 5 to finish. So we made the required amount with extras. There were a lot of photos taken so am hoping that someone will e-mail me a pic so I can share it with you all.

And now it is time to organise dinner and I think it will be early to bed for me tonight.
