JanRN, I hope you have power there; 8000,000 without power in Pennsylvania has me wondering if you are coping with the storm there.

Of course, also worried about Garden Gal and Honchey....storm is brutal in moving across the NW. Weather Channel is covering the news, and laughed about the beer trucks getting through in New York. And they said California got some rain.

Stay warm and stay safe everyone.

Thank you, QNS, for worrying about me--thankfully we have power that so many don't. We got about 8" of snow then about 1/2" of ice on top of the snow. Took forever to dig out and as soon as I got my car cleaned off the snow plow came by so now I have packed heavy snow all the way up to the mirror on the driver's side--I'm glad we're off on Wednesdays, I wouldn't have gotten to work. MrJanRn is digging it out again. That's a great MB, I love the star pattern. You're going to have a lovely MB quilt.

Anne, I feel your pain (not knee pain) about not being able to go shopping. My friends & I got gift cards to various LQS's for Christmas and haven't been able to use them yet. I need a fabric fix!

Jeanie, that's a really pretty block from OK. I hope you get the rain you need. I can't believe the pics I've seen of California's drought.

There have been so many posts and so many pictures to see sice I was last on. JanRN , your stripper story made me chuckle, sorry.

Gardnergal, I think my Tennessee Waltz quilt will end up on our bed .
I am feeling a little ( a lot!) sheepish. A good friend of mine asked me to make her a sheep quilt last fall. I was able to get the pattern she wanted, she bought all the fabric and had it sent to me. I told her I couldn't make til after Christmas as I had some family obligations. she was ok with that as I said I would get started in January.

Then I put it all away and promptly forgot about it Ack! As soon as I remembered today I called her to apologize. She just laughed and said she is in no hurry. But I still feel stupid. I will get started on it tomorrow but I still want to keep doing my TW so at least now I can say I have a goal for February. I will be waltzing with sheep. How could I be so stupid???

I like the fabric she bought for the sheep and the background so it will be fun to work with.

Thinking of those who haven't been feeling the best and who are sick of snow! We didn't get hit too bad last night (about 3"). It is getting cold again tonight and more snow coming Saturday.

Great new MBs showing up. I have my Feb one done just need to get it packaged up...already got Anael's approval.

I enjoy seeing your other projects and might even get some sewing in tomorrow and have something to show by the end of the month.

Hi Everyone!!!

What wonderful Eye Candy for me to see .... well enjoyed amidst our latest snow storm!

JanieW ... you'll find the sheep will work up really quickly! They are so much FUN to do ... and especially when you have fabric you LOVE to work with! Look forward to your waltzing sheep!

OKSGlad ... all done today? and allowing yourself some downtime tmro/Thursday? Good Riddance BobC!

Booster Club Report ... I got my wall/door hanging sandwiched tonight and hope to quilt it this weekend. Actually, better get it done, or else it won't be hanging for V-Day! Last night I finished the January Theme BOM and have it hanging on it's little rack.

I've been working lots, have made a truce with Excel and have made good progress ... but have been trying to get some sewing done each night, as a reprieve. And enjoying checking in on everyone to know there is life beyond snow and WORK!

Beautiful MBs! Only one more to show off and then the setting. Mine is ready for approval and then mailing.
QNS....we got about 6 inches of snow and now it's turned cold again. No problem with heat or electricity so we're warm and safe. I'm so thankful too.
Jan...so nice DH shoveled you out. Off to work you go.
JanieW....you gave me a chuckle...how can you waltz with a 4-footed partner? Have fun!
I did one star block yesterday and then finished reading a book. I need to rearrange my sewing room and didn't have a good plan so that was simmering too. I think today is the day for the redo. My space is about 10x10 shared with a couple of cabinets and bookcases so layout is limited. Plus I don't want to get too much in front of my design wall. I don't think I could quilt without it. Stay safe everyone!

I had forgotten how cold it could get in the mid west and last night was a reminder...eleven below this morning! Thank goodness, we have a full pantry and refrigerator and everything we need in the house. (I even got some books to read!) No shoulder pain last night as dh was kind enough to rub Thera-Gesic into my shoulder before I went to bed...a first in about a week of sharp pain relief. Think it needs another round this morning; one of the best things our doctor ever suggested for us to use.

Think I need to bake something and warm up the house...apple pie would really make the house smell good...if I were ambitious this day....it may be another may be day...when I don't even earn my salt for the day...a do nothing day ...no energy. May be the cold is penetrating into the house too much. Thank goodness I got a repair man in to fix the furnace before all the cold weather hit and we have propane in our tank to help out all the all electric house heat. I may just go into the quilt room and 'pat' all my fabric and look at all the UFOs and love them all. Goals=not today.

I will let you all do your goals for the day; 'cause you are all younger...at heart. Smile. Celebrate the day.

I feel so bad about not being home to help out with the kids/no school...was real worried about the freezing rain/trees coming down, no electric...I figured out a way to see if I still have electric...I called the house and the answering machine came on!!!! I have electric so don't have to worry about freezing pipes...I feel so much better about that.. DH & I are going to the garden club meeting ..the group will be going to 3 homes to learn about pruning...Mine is one of them...he bushes planted are so different from the one in the north...some are as tall as DH & he is 6'...have to go for now...meeting is in1/2 hour and I have to get dressed....Later
