Jeanie, they are wonderful indeed!

GG, beautiful Star! Well done on reorganizing your room

Mirabelle, stunning centre panel! Now on to the borders

QNS, I'm not sure you could enlarge the blocks because you bought a 4.5" finished DJ kit? You might run out of fabric before the blocks are all done. With the software it's easy to enlarge the blocks.

Mirabelle...glad you came up for air It looks pretty dark where you were....but how beautiful.
Dubib...hope it's nothing serious.
Thanks for the comments on the block. I find I've grown to love CW fabric. I checked out some Barbra Brackman sites and found a couple that interest me. http://austenfamilyalbumquilt.blogspot.com. This one is about Jane Austen and will start in April with a weekly block for 36 weeks. Must be smaller blocks. Then there is this one that is monthly and started a couple of weeks ago. http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com. Check out Barbara's new fabric due out in March from Moda...Ladies Choice. You have to scroll down quite a ways. It almost looks Mirabelleia to me. It's a good thing we are making monthly goals. I put down borders...all but forgot them...but they surfaced during the moving yesterday....even though I'm in the mood for something else this morning.

I really like your civil war star, Gardnergal. It will be interesting to see your whole quilt.

Mirabelle
, Your Out of the Darkness is gorgeous. I really like the colours.

Carriem, I hope you continue to heal. It is so frustrating when you are itching to sew and the body won't let you.

Here are my sheep who are waltzing to Tennessee.

Yes, JanieW, I can see the bigger size here, and your progress on TW and your sheep. How many sheep will you make? Are you counting sheep in your sleep? I like your TW snowballs, and your sheep. I have seen brown sheep and spotted sheep here.

Dear Jane is giving me nightmares...I was drummed out of the DJ corp for being a sixteenth off on my block last night! So I got out the disk this morning and did Lesson One....will have to continue to see how to print out individual blocks and/or enlarge like we can do in other programs. So much to absorb in that and 50 Fab Stars, not to mention Sylvia. I did get A-1 and A-2 done in the mini size of 5" from raw edge to raw edge.

And bake another chocolate cake for DH; who said, you can change out chocolate for a different flavor anytime.

OK, I hope your taxes worked out with a big refund coming back. Everyone else....good luck with your taxes too.

Stay warm and stay safe.

Oh Bev, I missed your first post about your abdominal pain. Here's hoping it is nothing and that you are feeling better soon.

Anael,

I made the sheep in panic mode after I remembered that I promised a friend last fall that I would make her a sheep quilt in January. I totally forgot , just remembered it on Tuesday when I found the fabric she had sent to me!!!!! so I am making sheep and TW at the same time because I am not too smart.

She would like at least 20 sheep with borders that co ordinate with the background fabric ( green and yellow). I am also FMQing my preemie quilts , so plenty to do to get me through February.

I sent my last MB away today.

Oh Bev, do take care of yourself!

Janie, at least you aren't ♪♫"Waltzing with Bears"!♪♫
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA46_jDjYdI

Who's the black sheep? So cute!

Taxes--well to get a refund, one has to pay in, QNS! It's so much fun to get our tax return done and see how much "I owe, I owe.." cuz "it's off to work I go......"

Yes I think BBrackman is fantastic, too! Her blog is so full of historical fact. Haven't decided if she's a quilter who loves history or an historian who loves quilting! Thanks for sharing your pretty block, GGal. I made my first fabric purchase of the year after my tax appt. Just 4 doors down from CPA's office is a great LQS and of course I had to go in. Bought 2 sacks of scraps. Over 8 yds total of usable cuts for $18. You'd have loved it Honchey. You don't have to stuff a ziplock sack--I usually end up ripping the sack--and the sacks are sorted by fabric types. These two had a lot of CW and Jo Morton type fabric in them. Now I'm ready to go play!

mirabelle, your black quilt is going to look fabulous; an "unexpected" choice of fabrics.

QNS--good luck on the DJ's, but if it's a sinking ship for you, it's okay to throw a life saver and quit rather than drown!
