I've also been lurking in the background enjoying the show of quilts in progress and blocks and table runners yinz have made. I apologize for not commenting on them individually and participating more. If you're familiar with depression, you know it's an effort just to get up and get dressed in the morning. Once I do that I don't have the energy to do much else. So sorry! But we're halfway thru March (today's the Ides of March) so I'm 1/2 way to my goal of making it thru the month.

I have been working on Carrie's 50 Fab Stars and finishing Anne's SYE blocks and a couple of QE's DJ blocks. Hanging out in the Bat Cave with loud music helps me to keep from wallowing in my mood (depression is such a stupid, selfish thing!) Promise more involvement and a happier JanRn soon!! Can I get in on that group hug?

Everyone, come on down to that virtual RV for a group 'hug'!!!
and more:

With age progressing, our body and mind start to fail us...moving so slow yet. Went town with DH driving and tried to avoid any harsh words from him, but that did not happen this morning; He found things to complain about even though I was doing my best. (No kitchen counter was free to put groceries since he does all the kitchen work now...and egg bucket is on the counter with chicken S--- under it... and suds had dried in the sink because he had not rinsed it out when he let the water go....and I know I am not in charge of things getting done right....right now....so I try to keep my mouth shut.; and by the grace of God, I did.)

I did get in a nice shower this morning, now to get my bedding washed so it will be clean tonight. Threw all the papers I did not need for Income Tax into a basket...along with other letters...and its still sitting here in my room; needs taken care of either throw or file. But needs are not already met. My knee still needs its time up, so I can sleep tonight...you know what I mean, Anne.

Love to get into quilting room, so much to do. Not right now, at least. I am too tired. No energy here, either.

You young ladies can dance the night away.....

We got back Thursday afternoon from our last RV trip with our group. It was beautiful weather, so that made it all the nicer.

Yesterday we traveled three hours to So. CA to a Final Four Basketball game for our local Community College team. They won, so tomorrow we are going back for the Final State Championship Game. At least it should not take as long to get there, as the Friday LA traffic was horrendous. Glad we left really early for the game.

Today, we met with our Tax lady, then drove into my home town (Ventura) to visit with my new 12 week old Great Niece. Oh My - she is just beautiful. What fun!

I have two more borders to finish my Celtic Solstice quilt, but I need to get more material. I am working on my 50 Fab Stars blocks, but am still behind on them. Also on the back burner is the SYE blocks. I have everything printed and the information downloaded, but want to catch up on the Stars blocks before I go back to them.

I'm sorry some of you are still under the weather. It is no fun not feeling well. I have no patience for illness of any kind! I want to be well immediately, and sometimes that is not possible!

Big (((((((HUGS)))))))) to all!!! I haven't been feeling very chatty lately either. It has been nice to have a week where I was mostly home and even able to sew a couple days. The next two weeks will be busier, but thankfully the snow is melting and it's warmer so not as hard to get out and about.

Wonderful to hear some of you are reaching your March goals, and have wonderful plans for this month. And can show off your beautiful work.

Snow greeted us this morning, about four inches outside and 27 degrees this morning. Just a reminder Spring is still around the next corner and not here....yet.

Knee and ankle was not swollen this morning, so that is a plus...however, the knee does really hurt, so will take things easy today. Friend is still coming in tomorrow afternoon, but understands how things are at the moment, so will just worry about making up the bed for her. She is bringing her corned beef cabbage dish; I have cheese cake for her in the refrigerator. Among many other things. Found a Green Velvet Cake on www.Foodnetwork.com where thy have posted 30 plus Irish recipes. Bread, biscuits, Corned Beef Cabbage, Cabbage and beef soup, and more. Green pancakes. Hope you all have fun on St Patrick Day with some 'green' showing up on your table. Enjoy.

Hi all....Jan hang in there. One more shot of cold, maybe snow and the sun will have it's way.
i've returned to the sewing room after a week away and have made progress in my SYE flimsy. Two rows are completely together and it's exceeding my expectations. I'm so happy Jan and GrannyQ "bumped" me into a black and white quilt which of course I'm complimenting with the red fabric leftover from another project. Thank you my friends! I think of your with every seam, Jan since they are y seams....gentle but still dot to dot. Works well until I came to a block I hadn't trimmed all six sides and it just wouldn't fit. It does now!
Mirabelle...I look forward to seeing your SYE flimsy.
Tomorrow is a play day at the LQS. I plan to get backing ready for at least two quilts since they have large tables to work on and it's much easier to get it done.
QNS...corned beef and cabbage at my house tomorrow too. Have a good one everyone!

Hey ya'll how are ya? I have been real busy. It is spring here. Spring means wind & dust. Actually there really hasn't as much dust as usual. It actually rained last night. Not a lot but it's better'n none. I don't think it rained at the airport, where the weather station is, so the "official" amount won't be near as much as we did git here in Midland.

You go, GGal--better you than me and those bleepin' y-seams LOL. I worked on a pieced border for SYE today, not sure if I like it or if it's too busy. I love these blocks. For some reason I have 2 that are larger than all the others. I think they're the ones I printed at home; the rest I did at work and they're all the same. They will fit though, like you I'll make them fit.

Glad everyone has checked in. Have a happy St Patrick's Day and don't drink too much Green Beer (or is that a Pittsburgh thing?)

Sorry, JanRN, no beer here. Enjoy yours in PA.
