Jeanie, glad you missed the earthquake in your area. Nice you are still fans of the Ventura BB team.

Nice to hear from Dublb, Honchey, Anael, and GG. We went on a small FART trip today and found white backing to finish a pink/white top Ronda's Mother (now passed on) finished for Ronda's daughter which the Moss Lady across my road will LA quilt for her. Also added pieces for an I SPY quilt for her 2 year old grandson that I will finish for his Christmas gift. T will be securing all edge seams tomorrow, then work on the I SPY cutting with R. and quietly celebrate her last full day here. Making "Thee Cake".

Everyone have a good week.

DDamsel what a beautiful block for Anael, it will go so nicely with the ones already received, and some more novelty fabric

QNS you are doing well with your DJ blocks, can't wait to see the batik ones.

All quiet over here, started raining today, we are supposed to have 4 days of rainy weather, that's ok with me as I am making progress in my sewing room. Will share pics soon.

It's Spriiiiiiiiiing!
The calendar says so .... but the real thing will come some day too!

So nice to stop by here and see CarrieM's MB quilt on it's way down the home stretchy; QNS' first DJs stitched.

And oh myyyyyyyyy the luscious fabrics and MB from DDamsel for Anael. Look at the FC centre and oh how it will tie with the other MBs with that green and purple. Was anyone scheming on this? Some great additions to your I Spy project. Or is that projects? How many are you making, Anael?

Let's hope that with Spring, that our PC'ers who are ailing will spring back to good health. I know, not likely the reality in some cases, but too, we all know that it does help lift our spirit, put that proverbial spring back in our steps, and to say the least about not being bundled up so much! Then amazingly, we do improve. For those that are beyond that ... let's hope your Dr's can "deal with it" and move you along thru diagnosis and remedy, ASAP.

I see many are busy busy busy with their lives and sewing ... keep it up, and ENJOY it all!

Miss being here with everyone.
Lots going on here ... but a lot of the times I feel it is not much! WORK has been busier than normal for March, but that is all good. Still haven't started prepping my tax stuff, so really need to get at it. Perhaps this weekend?

However, when work is busy, I seem to download my mushy brains and frustrations with some sewing. My FFC is a flimsy now, awaiting embroidery. Yes, you read that right! I got my March Theme BOM for my little hanger finished last night and it is now hung. What else for March, than a Mini Irish Chain. Also took some Irish Orphans and have them started into mug rugs/coasters. Will get some photos done and share ... but now, I must get on my way as a WORK day is ahead of me!

Have a Happy First Day of Spring, Ladies!

It has happened to me again! It is sooo true...I have *gasp* lost my PC quilt top! It is not where I thought it was. Some where over the rainbow in this house resides my PC top. Cannot show it off to my visiting friend because it hid itself somewhere...oh, oh, oh, no! It was in a tote or box with the MBs. I hate senior moments like this one. Hope it passes on, so I can remember where.... May have to write a new jingle....o where o where has my pony quilt top gone, o where, o where has it gone?

Oh Dear, QNS, I just hate when that happens to me! I always find it, and say Duh, just where you put it dummy! I envision it in a different plastic box or tote.

QuiltE....I was wondering if your mushy brain had forgotten where your friends hang out or worse yet, that you had fallen victim to the crud and weren't functioning at all. I'm so glad to hear that your are just well and busy. Congratulations on getting the FCC flimsy done.
QNS...I had one of those moments earlier this week but remembered my second storing place before I panicked completely.
Jeanie...the advantages of living in the same area all your life...good friends you've had for years. I settled in the Midwest after college and miss that.
I've been in the car going someplace every day this week. Making up for all of those shut in days I guess. Not too much more than puttering in the sewing room and I'm getting the itch to get outside but it is still cold and raw even though the thermometer says it's warmer. They're still taking about snow in the forecast.

Just getting caught up, everyone has been very busy and productive. I've been obsessed (possessed?) with finishing my MB quilt. Just have to quilt the sashings then add the binding. I'm so excited to show everyone--it's going to be gorgeous and I have all of yinz to thank!

Tho yesterday was the first day of Spring, I'm looking out my window at a snowstorm! It wasn't predicted, in fact it was supposed to go to 50*. In an hour we have an inch on the ground and I can't even see across the street. Is God playing a little joke on us?

Hope everyone is feeling better. This was a rough winter for anyone with health issues. Have a great day, ladies, and the next time I post I hope it's the pic of my MB.

GGal ... no, did not forget! Just when I get like that, I sometimes just enjoy the solace of my hideaway (aka sewing room!) ... I think you understand that one! Looks like cabin fever with all that winter weather has taken it's toll and now you are making up for all the shut-in days!! Hope some of those were quilty excursions!

QNS ... painters tape on the outside of the boxes are a great way to label. Stays permanent as long as you want, but leaves nothing permanent when you want it off.

JanRN ... yea for your progress! and am anxious to see what you have created!! Yes, ITA both God and Mother Nature have a very warped sense of humour! Yesterday here was wickedly windy with traces of snow. I had to walk across a large mall parking lot and almost turned back .... but it was to Fabricland (similar to your Joanne's) so I trundled on! Oh what we go thru, for a "fix"!!!

As many of you know, I have been trying to NOT buy fabric .......... unless I really need it, or it is something totally unique. I did have three projects I was ISO yesterday. No luck, except for one, and only bought 1/2 metre to bring home and audition. However, here are two that just HAD to follow me home. No plans for either .... just too unique to pass them by, when I had the opportunity. The second one, the background shows more vivid than IRL. It is more of a dark rust, almost burgundy like. I have offered it to a quilty friend who likes moose, if she wishes it.

JanRN, it does not sound like your church people there has stopped prayer for snow...wonder if the newspaper reporter could 'track' that person down??? Hope it does not snow on April 1st there.

GardenGal, It is very to believe that you would 'forget' where anything is as young as you are....and good that you can get about the area again without snow and ice.

QuiltE, sounds like something was 'pulling' or 'pushing' you into that Fabricland to 'find' the fabric that you did. Lovely prints.

Friend has left to return to middle of Missouri; we had a wonderful visit and small FART trip on Wednesday, which let her rest yesterday for her trip back home today. She was very generous to me on that trip, and I told her it would be my time to do so when I visited her....she laughed, probably thinking I'd never drive that far myself. She loved my Chicken Tenders, and oven roasted lemon veggies at lunch. Now the house is so quiet and I miss her company already.

DH three months blood sugars were high, at 9.9 instead of 7.2, so we are on a 'diet' trip for him to eat less sugar and carbs. And I am still looking for my PC top.
