8 blocks finished 4 to go on Spike and I am really liking it, doing a lot of SID as I want the blocks to shine. Might not do much tomorrow as my darling DD arrived home tonight for the weekend and she wants me to do some embroidery for her.

Tomorrow night HE will be presented with THE Quilt so I will let you all know his reaction and see if I can get a pic of him with the quilt..

Thank you all for your encouragement and support.

I didn't git on my computer a'tall yesterday. First I had lunch w/ an old DF. How did we not run inta each other in the last 25 or more years? We have both lived in the same town durrin' that whole time. I spent most o' yesterday sewin' strip sets for the "Stratta Spin" class that will be presented at the retreat that I'm goin' on next week.
taday my DGSon came ta play. That always makes me smile I'm kinda tired now though. I actually think that I'll be headed ta bed real soon.

I'm sure he will love the quilt, mirabelle.

I designed and painted some witch feet fabric and have posted the block photo in Maud's Album Quilt thread.

Th'sevenin' my family & I went ta Red Lobster for my B-day. The babies sure got real hungry as we had a 54 min wait till we got ta even go inside. They were cryin' once we sat down. #1DSon & DDIL were so frustrated about how fussy the kids were. It's what kids are gonna do if they are hungry. Once they had food they settled down. I tried crab legs for the first time & decided that that's way too much work! DDIL had 3 Shrimp scampi (sp?) left & let me try 'em. Those were wonderful! I tried some about 25 years ago & they were over spiced, but I really liked these. She & I also talked about the fact the neither o' us have ever tried any lobster. We are gonna leave the boys w/#1DSon some time & just the 2 o' us split a lobster. Have I mentioned that I have the best DDIL ever?
#1DSon & DDIL gave me lovely footstool that is decorated a bit like a crazy quilt. Sequins, machine embroidery, lace, beads! I'll never put my feet on it, ever! It's so purdy! #2DSon gave me a tin o' soothin' tea & a li'le decorative piece that had a sayin' about Mothers & high standards. DH reminded me that my Janome was both a Valentines day gift & a birthday gift. I love my Janome.
Earlier ta day my DF & I spoke on the phone about what we are bringin' & how much fun we are gonna have on our retreat. I leave Mon. mornin'. I'll git ta her house by evenin'. She lives a bit east o' Dallas. I've been there once before. We will head out ta og ta Branson early Tues morning. Plans are made & we are just gonna have a ball!
