Just checking in on everyone. Hope all is well. Got the top pieced for my DGD's Asian inspired quilt. Well, I actually made 2--didn't like the first one. It's in The Box. Have to spray baste, quilt, and bind yet but have a busy week so I don't think it will get done til next week.

Mirab, take that well-earned break; come back when you're ready and show us all you've accomplished.

I agree, Jeannie--would love to meet up with everyone so when QNS finds that $$$ tree we'll do it!

It is either the Money Tree or someone wins the BIG Lottery...and sends the rest of us the tickets and time and place to meet up together.

Nice to hear so much good news! Honchey, I sure hope there is an easy answer for the low BP and that you're feeling better. Anael, what a great idea. Now where could that money tree be? Jeanie, every time I hear of another fire in California, I thnk of you. OK, what a memory making time for you and your family! I pray that there is no sever weather for you and yours.
Here it has been very quiet. Keeping up with BOW/BOMs and playing with the minis. Garden still needs more weeding but it can wait until the weather cools down a bit. Off to ladies group with some AC!

Hi everyone, Just checking in... Dr said that there are sensors in the neck under the jaw area that when squeezed or pressed on can make you faint and when I had my head bent down for sooo long when DS was trimming my hair in the back of my head that's what happened.. my BP was very normal when the DR took it...I do take meds for it...I'm very happy with his explanation...

I worked today then had the kids for dinner...I am tired....The dentist tomorrow afternoon for the final cementing for the crown...it's a good thing too....it came off tonite after dinner...called him and he told me to keep it in water tonight...He doesn't want me losing it or swallowing it... Tomorrow can't come soon enough!!!

Huggs Honchey. DMIL had ta deal w/that nerve for 2 or 3 years. Every once in a while it would happen ta her. The first time the nurses thought she was dead. What a relief ta know what it is.
I haven't been on much 'cause DD & her family have been here. DSIL has been workin' on my computer so that I can use windows on my mac. Then he found a way that I can git embroidery designs on my mac & then onta my embroidery machine. He is my hero now!

Great going, Dublb, on getting your Mac to load your embroidery patterns and get them into your machine. I am ignoring my machine, except to give it a love 'pat' as I exit the room.

Hope it was a good day, Honchey, and your tooth was fixed up right.

I am in my QR, just stripping away. So happy that I can finally see again...making one and one half inch strips. Two inch strips. three and one half inch strips. five inch strips...

From Stitching Heaven this joke:

[TR]
[TD="align: right"]
At the end of their first date, a young man takes his favorite girl home. Emboldened by the night, he decides to try for that important first kiss. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall and, smiling, he says to her, "Darling, how 'bout a good night kiss?"Horrified, she replies, "Are you mad? My parents will see us!""Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?""No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught?"
"Oh come on, there's nobody around, they're all sleeping!"
"No way. It's just too risky!"
"Oh please, please, I like you so much!!"
"No, no, and no. I like you too, but I just can't!"
"Oh yes you can. Please?"
"NO, no. I just can't."
"Pleeeeease?..."
Out of the blue, the porch light goes on, and the girl's sister shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled. In a sleepy voice the sister says: "Dad says to go ahead and give him a kiss. Or I can do it. Or if need be, he'll come down himself and do it. But for crying out loud tell him to take his hand off the intercom button!"

I am in soooo much trooouble....oh dear, oh dear, oh dear me!! The Confetti Quilt has zillion one and one half inch squares in it. one strip made many times over a light sewn to a dark four inch strip, each one and one half, then
each four and one half strip it cut in four pieces, each one and one half inch to 'form a ladder' of four pairs...a hundred and eighty times! No one pattern or color next to each nor adjacent to each other of the green or yellow pieces. I think I was crazy to start it, wow!

I googled Confetti Quilt, and wouldn't you know it came up with so many with the same name and yet different layouts (what else is new). Most looked like a 4 patch surrounded by sashing and cornerstones. Sooooooo what is yours suppose to look like? Good luck QNS!

It's from www.rainbow.com and although it may take a while to do I am working on it for DS lovely companion, Pamela. Think maybe I have it figured out....each 'block' is four and one half inches...half of the blocks is just a background block.... is that is good thing. Background is off white with olive green and yellow. But may take longer than the FWSQ six and one half block quilt.
