Sounds like you are looking at your decision together very seriously an taking the $$$$ in to account...sleep on it and agree on what to do that is the best thing for you to do for your peace of mind. No one else can tell you all what to do, just you'all have to agree. It is very serious move either way. Maybe get your house valued at current market price and see what it is worth now...

Bev--I hope that you can figure out the whole house thing quickly. Saving that much money each month would be nice...and it would help to pay for those repairs at the Brady house.

Oh Bev, What a decision you & DH have to make. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes right now. Whatever decision you do make will be the right one..one door closes another opens..Good luck!

Dublb, keep us tuned in on what you do for we all care and share your concerns about $$$$ and being close to relatives.

We did our 'monthly' shopping and getting chicken feed, etc. I found more annual flowers for the beds and have them all planted now. PattyW came by and took home the other tire of Rhubarb to use up and promise we move the whole tire and plants down to her house come fall time. Looking forward to tomorrow and our All Iowa Quilt Shop Hop trip.

Have gotten a big notebook and protective sheets for the new project....now passed number 50 with outline block, template print out and paper piecing page for each one in a protective sheet. Marked each blank block with the suggest way of putting way of putting it together, hope to finish that today.

Everyone have a good day....

QNS, on your shop hop, pick up a magazine. I picked one up on Saturday. I think they are free if you purchase something or $5, other wise. I like how they have sectioned off the state in regions. Looking at the map I see how lucky I am to live relatively near so many shops. Check out the pattern on page 12....

Bev, good luck with your decision, not an easy one to make. MrJan & I keep talking about downsizing but housing prices in our area are so low we'd never get what our house is worth if it was 10 miles away. Local college has taken over most of the houses in this area for student housing so property values have plummeted.

I started printing out pp patterns from FWS1930s CD. Is there any way to print them other than one block at a time? At this rate, it will take forever. Any suggestions on how to print them all at once?

Anne, I'm looking at these blocks and they look pretty involved. I don't think I'd have been able to do them a few years ago. These are definitely for an "advanced beginner" or intermediate quilter; don't think a true beginner could do some of these. I was a true beginner when we started FWS and glad I didn't realize how much I didn't know--I learned so much doing that quilt and would hope any beginners who join 1930s QAL would learn as much as I did.

QNS, have fun on your shopping tour tomorrow. Wish there was something like that around here!

Carrie, just saw your Tulip quilt--great job. I was looking at some pics of older quilts and aqua and orange were the "color of the day". Yours looks fresh & modern while at the same time has that comfy old time feel. You're so clever!
