Look into food grade diatomaceous earth - DE - completely safe for pets and humans (can even be used as a de-wormer), but works wonders for bugs. Can even be brushed through fur for flea/tick issues.

diatomaceous earth - DEis what we use in the garage, shed, and hen house. I usually use Raid House and Garden inside the house, but not a regular basis.

Got the Propane 60,000 BTU gas heater today for the Great Room in case of power going out this winter. DH will get it installed later this weekend. The small engine shop pickup his two small engine machines to work on again. Better get ready for winter before it gets much colder here...so he is making progress on the list. I picked up the backing for two quilts that I will finish next.. on the UFO list.

NS, hubby throws moth ball in the garage and puts out roach traps, Florida yuknow? In the house we just put roach traps in case one or two get in. ...haven't seen a one this year. We also have an electronic thingy in the garage and in my studio. It's supposed to make bug run away lol....and I haven't seen any, so it must work..

On another note, I am so far behind with my blocks but will catch up soon......

Baked a ham yesterday and made German potatoe pancakes.

Every one in the USA, set your clocks back an hour tonight! End of Daylight Savings Time! Back to the ole fashion time of day. LOL! l We get an extra hour to sleep in the morning.

Thanks for the reminder about the clock! It's back, but doesn't that mean one hour less to sleep?

You might be right; it confuses me...but the clock goes back one hour...so we will have more daylight in the evening...and less of a morning. I think. Or vice versa on DST compared with SDT, So happy we are retired folks...the sun rises and the sun sets without help from any man, woman or child on earth as the earth spins around. I am not a science or math major. I don't have to get up and milk the cows and feed the hogs and chickens. Just Dh. It's a pleasure to feel like cooking again for him and he appreciates it.

Honchey, good luck on your MRI. Prayers winging their way to you.

QNS, the time change confuses me. I got up at the same time this morning as usual, with basicly the same amount of sleep-- then turned back the clock and had an extra morning hour. I guess you were right-- I could have slept it. :-p
