I have been living in a homeless state lol. My entire kitchen has been demolished but I am managing with cooking etc. The tile is going to be layed tomorrow and hopefully we will be able to move back into the kitchen and den by next week. The cabinets still have to be installed also. We also had to re-plum the entire house and the electric panel had to be re-done and up to code. When it rain it pours. Starting with the kitchen and then all hell broke loose lol...but not to worry, all has been done so far and by next week, I will be in heaven and will be able to access my machines and paints or whatever mood grabs me.

Also FYI, hubby found an article in the paper. Seems that a new kind of hacker/s are out there called, "Ransome" The FBI says to just pay them if you want to access your files. What this ramsome does is lock down you files and you can't access anything until you pay them. ....so do not download anything free, music or otherwise or open emails etc. ..until they can find a way around Ransome....

Gosh, it seems all I do is drive back & forth between Midland & Brady! We're in Midland now & are gonna go back on Sat or Sunday! At least the price of gas is down.

Anne, hope you had a safe trip home. Rosie, I'm also living in a construction (destruction?) zone. But today is a fun day--I'm off to the Quilting & Sewing Expo in Cleveland with 3 quilty friends cash and credit card in hand. I haven't bought fabric in a year (not that I need any). I'm excited!!! Have a great day ladies and I'll report on my trip later.

I notice that the word, "cabinets" in my first post is highlighted, do not click on it as I didn't do that....

Rosy, Maybe it only appears that way for you-- that 'cabinets' is highlighted-- because it doesn't show it highlighted on my monitor....

Honchey, I believe Katybob is learning Microsoft 10 on her computer. I want to wait until i get one that takes voice commands.. . and let it figure out the 'how' of things.

The mule mail train finally delivered a packet of anniversary cards and a surprise from QB folks here; boy, did I ever need it today. Out of chocolate in the house, except for chocolate ice cream, and I tried a bowl of that. thanks Anne, Carrie, Jeanie,Jan, and Gladys. (the written notes were lovely and thoughtful to read and enjoy, too!)

Still too cold here to garden, so I am enjoying working in the QB room with my Hibiscus Stack 'n Whack project. Have seven out of 39 octagons made now. Gotta get going becasue five more S & W are in totes to do and they take a while to finish...hope by the end of the year, I have them done.

May you all have a good April in your locations. My new hair saloon is next day to a quilt show....how lucky is that?

I've never been to a quilt show, but it's on my to-do list...

Anne, I hated Windows 8 with all the tiles and the swiping things into the corners of my screen with my mouse. I much rather click on things in Windows 10. I was thrilled that they took away the swiping! I guess it's ok to do on a cell phone, but even there I'm not keen on that method of moving/opening things.
