Last day of May...where does the time go so fast?

I have put the names of all FW 1930 on each block in permanent ink along with their respective number; I will not remember the name of each block if I don't, so I have with all the Farmer's Wife quilts. Thinking about setting them together.... just thinking.

Have a great day! Celebrate.

Good morning! I made two blocks last night... Fanny, and Old Maid for this week's showing. I need to do my Nellie block and I'll be ready to post on time later today when Honchey starts the thread. Hope everyone's having a good day.

Why oh why do I have to pack so much clothes for the "what if's" and why oh why do I never wear them ??? I wish I could just have stuff for up here and stuff for down there

Today is the last day of golf for DH and then I can start packing the trunk for our trip...DH has a procedure on Thursday and when we leave all hinges on the results...
I have to go make some Jello now..Maybe I'll start a 30"s block..I think I may have Nellie in pieces somewhere..I'm not very organized with this journey.. I've had to reprint the blocks as I go 'cause I still can't find the big ziplock with all of the blocks printed out.. Oh well, Later guys..

We are back in Midland.
Crazy busy trip & I am ready for some quiet time. Sigh, I guess it isn't gonna happen. It looks like there is gonna be at least 2 more trips to Ft Worth.
I did have a great time in Brady w/my DCousin coming & the 2 of us sewing! Our DH did a lotta of hanging out together & really enjoyed themselves too.

Glad your time in Ft. Worth wasn't all stress, Bev. Glad you had a nice time with your cousin and the hubs hit it off well.

Anne, I find whenever I try to pack sparingly I am always missing something. So if I have the room I take it all!

So... 'procedure' and 'making jello'... I know what that means! Just been there! Hope all turns out well for your hubby.

Went to the annual Quilt in a Day lecture by Pat Knoechel (Eleanor Burns' sister) yesterday with my quilty friends. Had lots of fun, saw her newly released patterns. It's really just a 2 hour sales pitch with demonstrations of her techniques but it's always fun. And they feed us. Rode in a car with a lady and her 95 year old mom. The mom still quilts and is as sharp as a tack. She bought a bunch of patterns and a book; her daughter said "mom, you're 95 do you think you'll make all those patterns?" Mom said "I plan to and I'll buy more because the day I run out of patterns is the day I'll die". So ladies, don't feel guilty buying what you want because that's our incentive to live longer LOL.

Ha ha... I love the 95yo lady's attitude! She's going out quilting. The lady who heads up our charity quilting group is like that too. She's at least 90, sharp as a tack, and bossy as a little general. She was a pastor's wife (now a widow) so she knows how to ride herd over a bunch of women! And she's the one who comes up with all the fun ideas for the group-- road trips, challenges, quiltathon days at her house-- you name it. And she always wants to be where the quilting action is. We love her.

We had a big storm last night. The lights were flickering and the rain was SO LOUD. Dog spent another night trembling in fear due to the thunder and noisy rain. But this morning the sun is shining and all looks beautiful again.

That's what I say about my fabric stash.....Jan, when did you change your signature line? The unicorn line never failed to give me a smile...

DSis and BiL on the road...a little quiet before the tribe up the road descends upon me....Saturday #3DS arrives with our youngest GD...gotta get the packnplay out and have ready for nap time....

Yes and when those 90 yo balls of fire go to their reward they will be sorely missed....

Have a good one....

JanRN i was in seven quilt shops in Iowa today and one book store; came out with a sack full at everyone of them 'cause God showed me what to buy and what not to boy. Will catalog them into my collection tomorrow while dh is gone with his brother to their Mothers grave site in Winterset Iowa... an all day trip going and coming...so I will cook my lobster and play all day in my Quilt Room, singing to myself in happiness. More fun than I expected, more shops than I expected and more good company with Quilter 65 driving who remembers the roads better than I do...

It will take three weeks to fix my old machine. Good thing I did not get a new one with the outlay of cash today... I celecbrated the day in a big way...way.... way. Bucket list just grew faster than flowers/weeds grow in the garden. OL!

I love that you had such a fun day, QNS. Please do show us your shopping loot when you get around to it. I would just LOVE to go on a shop hop trip!
