Thank you oksewglad. That was sweet of you.

Our weather outside today is so humid. I opened the door to let my little dog out to do her business, and the air was like breathing through cotton or something.

Absent minded? What's that? hehe... I lost my mind a long time ago.

Honchey yay on your winning.

QNS is this license plate thing for those regulars that has been here for a long time? I wasn't understanding either, but that is how my mind stays.

Sewbizgirl you do get a lot done, and so do a lot of others on here. Good for all of you. Energy is a gift.

Have a blessed day girls.

Yes it was an exchange. I think it was suppose to designate the area we are from, mine being the ocean/seashell theme? I did a QAYG on them, and I love how it turned out! I do not remember what we called it at the time, I just call it Friends Quilt.

Got my 'license plate at my hometown quilt shop this morning. I plan on getting as many as what signs up for the 'gift' throw...so far, four have. My photo is a little off but it clearly shows the quilt shop in Centerville, Iowa, as Shabby Chic... Each LQS will have them made up until September 9th, according to the local shop here. It measures eight and half inches by four and half inches. Rather neat, I thought. Hope you do too. Please let me know if you want to accept this gift or not... I hope you do love the idea as well as me. So far, JeanieG, SBG., and Dublb are OK wi;th it....whose the fourth I counted, I do not know.

What a day today has been.....DH got bitten all over his legs by fire ants and he blacked out while sitting in a chair so I called 911 and after the EMT's arrived and worked on him they recommended he go to the ER..He said no! after they left he decided to go to the Urgent Care about a mile from home..We waited for 1 hr & 20 minutes before they saw him..but just before that He was having a hard time breathing and felt a heaviness in his chest..they took him in the area where they did an EKG 3 times hooked him up to an IV and gave him meds thru that to reduce the swelling in his legs...The DR then told us he has to go to the hospital...Ambulance came & off we went...The did a full work-up and found that his enzymes were normal and didn't have a heart attack..The pumped him up with a few different cortizones and came home...He went to bed and woke up 6 hours later and thought it was the next day...I'm having a drink, a real drink right now ..I've been up since 5:30 this a.m. and am exhausted..The DR also told him if he ever gets bitten again by Fire Ants he needs to go to the ER asap!! I was so scared when he blacked out..He was looking straight at me but wasn't seeing or hearing me..I had to shake him and got wet towels and soaked him down...it was a horrifying experience...

See ya all tomorrow....H.

Wow! That was a scary situation. Glad that they found out the cause and he is doing better. Who would have thought that ants could cause a medical problem.

So sorry Honchey... That is very scary. You did the right thing getting him the medical help he needed. Men can be so hard-headed about those things. Hope your hubby can avoid fire ants in the future!

Here is some information on WebMD about fire ant stings. Good information to all us us to know. Who would have thought it could be so dangerous!

We experienced fire ants in Texas and they are no joke! So glad that is behind you and you can avoid the problem in the future. Boiling water poured directly on their nest hole lin the ground is the best way to kill the nest. So sorry you and Mr. Honchey had to go through that experience. One real drink might have lead to two in this case. Hope today is a better day for both of you.
