Now, you just have to imagine looking thru a sheer curtain at this photo as the background and having all our information printed on it in black ink. I think that this would be so special....Now I have to find out if this can be done. I'm trying to figure out how to get the photo and printing done at the same time using the printable fabric just once..

Looks like blue eyes vs brown eyes to me in the two cover photo shots. Farm wifes I knew or heard about from grandparents would never have worn makeup on their faces. They were too busy to think about themselves. Cleaning up, fixing foods, growing food, assisting their dh, raising children and going to church on Sunday as a family. Most had 8th grade or less of schooling. Learned how to do without much to do with. They recycled so much it would put modern day recycle in the shade. My Gran (and Gramp)was born before the turn of the 1900 century, and I was raised with many stories of her childhood and mid-life thoughts.

I really like the larger image, too. I think it would be a beautiful background to a label. I've never printed on fabric so I wouldn't know the logistics involved--thanks for being so creative.

I was able to get in touch with Laurie..if you don't know the correct email it comes back to me..anyway. I was also thinking about maybe adding the cover of the book to it.. somehow like a 2 subject collage. This would be self explanatory to anyone who looks at it. I'm waiting to hear from her..otherwise it will be just the magazine cover and whatever text we decide to include. I'm so revved up about this label and moving my sewing room that I haven't sat at a machine for 2 weeks (son is back home). I WILL do some sewing tonite. Anne

Good News Guys!!! I got the go ahead from Laurie. So now I feel much better about it and can now figure out what to do next. She thinks it's a great idea by the way :P :P . I am calling the Magazine company that now owns the FW magazine. I would love to see some covers from 1922. Who knows???? we might get lucky. Anne

Honchey, your house AV is cute.

I'm still making FW. I just don't participate on the board. I'm sure there are others amongst the original 79.

The worst part of quilting is coming soon. Finishing. :0)
