OK...finally...finally...finally I did the last kite. I copied Lesley by putting the "label" info on the petals, then I flipped through this thread again and thought...man...I should have done the bottom star like Meredith (I love yours!)

Anyway, its done now and here she is...

A question for you who have put yours together though...did you attach the kite to the border prior to sewing the the borders to the quilt or after????

Thanks! I got all the trapunto padding sewn today, tonight I'll trim the excess and start sewing the regular W & N batting pieces to the back. I'm thinking about doing the "normal" quilting on the trapunto tris after I get the back put on. Since it is just the border, it wouldn't be hard to do it on the machine (which is how I intent to do the quilting on these anyway). Whadda ya'll think?

Your kite looks very nice Patti! Your getting so close to the end. I haven't been on here for several days because Iv'e been hand sewing. Quite addicting isn't it?

Here ya' go Elle....this is all the way around the border

Yes Jan...I got very addicted to doing them. Its so easy to tuck a couple in a baggie along with some threaded needles and work on them anywhere too!
