6 1/2" blocks, 24 total at the completion of step #2 (each block is made of two, half-square triangles,fabrics 'A' &'B' )

there are many ways to make half-square triangle blocks...
and many ways to use them in many different patterns = fun

I have my blocks made, and some trimmed to 6.5", but no pics yet. I was very busy all weekend sewing the binding on the MONSTER. I call it Fishing in the Dark and it measures 106" x 123". The LAQ named it the monster and said there seemed to be no end to it. Here is a couple of pictures. I will post it in the pictures once I can get a full picture of it. First one is sewing on the binding. Second is 1/4 of the quilt on a twin bed.

Yep, Sunliten, fer sure my ADD is undiagnosed, but present! 6 1/2" finished blocks! Yes! That's what I'll do when I get my head straight. Might be waiting awhile. It's five o'clock somewhere, right? Maybe a Margarita would help! Or if I wait until Happy Hour, I could have two and then it definitely won't matter. Oh, yeah, maybe it would matter on Saturday when we get the next step. Until then, playtime!!!

I agree, that is one big quilt. I am impressed and liking it. Good work dungeonquilter. Was the quilt planned to be that size or did it just grow like some of my quilts?

That quilt is wonderful! I have that fabric. I like the blue with it to represent water.

Gee thanks for straightening me out. Now my back hurts from all that straightening. You gals have such an imagination I thought I would throw one in too. I now know to cut my blocks 7" and trim to 6 1/2". It was to simple that is why I could not figure it out. Again thanks a lot. I will bring a special treat tonight to the ladies that helped me, how about home made chocolate covered cherries. Of course there is no calories in these.

I planned the center to be the size it is. The borders are much wider than I originally planned. I had fabric left over, and just decided to keep adding. It got a bit finicky with the fishes in the border, as I had just enough length and was mitering them.
