With DH off to NC hopefully you'll get some sewing time. 70 blocks along-wow. I agree, though, what was I thinking but then I remember that FWS was 111 blocks. What were we thinking LOL??

Blocks are done, need to photograph and post tomorrow. Adjusting for DD and GS visit, clearing out the guest room, and re-arranging quilt room. Installed new kitchen screen door (the kind that slams shut) and painted it old brick red with DH, and worked with him outside to promote quineas to a larger wide open former dog run to roost in overnight. Put wire over the top and roosts in, with food and water in and they walked into it like it was about time we presented them with a new home. They cooed their thanks and went to roost. No eggs yet from the pullets...gotta talk to those girls...about gettin' down to doing their job.

No blocks here yet. I'm in mourning. Today DH and I drove 200 miles for my dear aunt's funeral, the aunt I was named after. She lived a wonderful 92 years having a life some of us only dream of. But my heart is still sad for she is the last of my mother's siblings and a chapter closes in my family's history.

So sad to hear of your loss Oksewglad, but you will always have her in your heart.

No blocks from me yet, I have just finished cutting out Patience Corners so I am off to start sewing..

So sorry, Oksewglad, for your loss. Can you do some memorial quilts in her memory, at least, for you? And you will cherish her memory in your heart, I am sure.

OKsewglad...so sorry for your loss. I remember when I became the oldest generation in the family. A very sobering moment.

Thank you for your words of sympathy. Oh a trip around the world is the quilt to make and must include some Oriental prints.......She was a career Army Nurse. As small children we learned about our world from where she was stationed and the gifts she would send.
