I would like to do it in shades of purple or blue. I think it would be stunning with either. I need to try this one. I'm going on an outing with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday. It will include antique stores AND a quilt shop! Hope I an be fairly good and not buy out the sote at either place! But ti'll be tempting to look for fabric to do this block :!: I have some in my stash but need a few more pieces if I am to do this one.

Yum, my favourite colours. Of course you need more fabric, Go for it girlfriend  After all fabric is our paint, how can we paint if we don't have enough colours. Happy Birthday and hope you have a really great day out

I love this block, I think I'll give it a try. Do it in browns and it will look like a pine cone, perfect for a man quilt. Thanks for sharing it!
