So exciting, I am working on sewing down my fused pieces. Next block I think I will cut the centers out of more of the web before fusing to the fabric. I did it on the vase because it is so big, but not on the rest, and now I wish I had. But it'll be OK, as I use very light web and over time it will soften with washings. My DH seems not too interested in this piece, except to say it's pretty. But my mom...wow, she loved it!!! :-)

Peg, I don't think I have the patience to try hand applique...I work FAST, and hand work seems so very tedious to me!!! I love you work, and admire it tremendously, but until later in my life I don't think it's for me. At least not right now. :-)

I find that women love this style and men are more drawn to pieced. Don't know why; must be a man thing!

Glad your Mom loves it, maybe a xmas present in the works?

Didn't mean to pressure you, of course do what you love. I agree when I need a quick fix, I too, fuse.

No pressure taken!! :-) Glad to hear you are not a purist...I like doing various techniques too, depending on my circumstances at the time. Fast or slow...

Here is my machine applique so far. I decided to do it all in one color to give it a little bit of country look. I'm happy with it so far, but my stitching can use some improvement. As I do this I am sure my skill will improve.

This quilt is going to be beautiful! Thanks for putting this together for everyone. I love needle turn appliqué it really is relaxing for me. I have said for a few months I needed to get something to do with hand work for those nights on the couch with my son!

Hugs and Get well wishes to BonniFeltz - her block is going to be alittle later getting done than she planned. She has come down with shingles on her face and in her eye area.
    Get Well Bonni

Good - I always have a hard time waiting for surprises even to the point of opening Christmas presents early then rewrapping them to put back under the tree.

Here is my sloppy rose, even if you have trouble needleturning, you can do this. The sloppier the better. Instructions will be posted on the 8th.

So glad you are doing this BOM. I've never done a BOM and never done a Baltimore Album so I'm looking forward to this. I really appreciate you posting the EQ file as well. I like having all the options that gives me. Here is my first block. I used Cherrywood fabrics instead of batiks - a lot more subtle coloration, but I'm happy with it.
