Here is the thread that we will all be posting our pictures of the AUGUST 2014 BOM block's. I hope that everyone will have fun making this great block & will shares all of your photo's as you finish your blocks. As a project for this Virtual weekend, I made my Square and Rectangle BOM block. To go with my previous blocks I decided to make an Offset Log Cabin. :)

I put here the eight blocks, it went okay but at least they can see.
I made a collage.
I materials as beautiful and I do not know the matching, but I hope to learn more in the process.

Nicole, I think you blocks play well together..really like the bright reds and your ladybugs :)

I love your block it is very cool

August finished. I had a bunch of strips already cut at 1 3/4" so I used those and only had to cut a few more, still using the 1 3/4". But for the last four outside strips I cut them 2" and that gave me some wiggle room to square up. Worked out perfect.

love your block sulabug. I decided I would join in with my $3.00 jelly roll it is the first time I have tried light and dark, I managed to get 9 blocks out of the jelly roll so it will be 3 blocks by 3 blocks, I have always loved the log cabin.

Just checking in to see how everyone is coming along with their August block of the month block. I am seeing so many pretty ones that are being shown & so glad to see the great turn out!! :D Before long it will be time to post the September block & I can hardly wait!!

love your fabric choices

WOW I love this Such beautiful colors. I must be confused, are the directions for this block on here somewhere? I want to make log cabin quilt but wasn't sure the size strips to use. But I love bright colors and this is so beautiful. LOVE IT Rachel

Patrice, Very pretty. Is the fabric orange toned or more pink? On computers it's so hard to tell sometimes.
