I hope to see some awesome colors!!

ceannastahr 08-02-2007 08:35 AM

I like it and the bonus pattern will make nice xmass gifts

Norah 08-02-2007 08:56 AM

I like your choice of blocks. It is so pretty I think I can forgive you for being a day late. Yes, I can. :D :D

I love the BOM. It is so similar to a twin size quilt I made for my granddaughter. About the only variation is that there is a 9-patch for the main part of the heart instead of one square, and the BOM has the blocks set together differently. Very nice. S.

This quilt is so pretty. I love this. I don't think I have ever seen one exactly like this one. That is very nice.

Sara,
That is a beautiful quilt. I love the colors and how they're set in the white background.

ceannastahr 08-02-2007 05:19 PM

Country Quilter 08-02-2007 05:21 PM

imaquilter 08-02-2007 07:14 PM

Great block and beautiful quilt! Can't wait to get started on this and a few previous blocks, I haven't worked on them in awhile but I have been visiting to admire everyone else's work!

Joan 08-03-2007 06:43 AM

Sara, your heart quilt is beautiful! I would love the pattern. Where did you get it? The BOM is neat as well and really gets me thinking of the reds and pinks I have in the stash!---Joan

What I wanted to choose for my BOM when my turn came, was a design of my own. I didn't get the chance to do that, though. It was to be a cake. 2 hobbies of mine in one....
Also, I thought about doing a school house, since it's back to school this month...I picked out the design, but it didn't really have any instructions...maybe it was paper piecing or something? I have never done paper piecing, so...I just went with the hearts to make it easy on us all! LOL!

Yvonne 08-04-2007 09:19 AM

Miranda,
There are just too many choices out there. It was hard to pick 'just' one wasn't it? I know just what you are saying. I had at least a half dozen blocks I wanted to use last month. Ha!

You chose well. I'm off to my sewing room today. Hope to have a pink block to post later. Just think, if I apply myself I could have valentine presents for all my kids. (Not likely!!! Who wants to be that organized?)

ButtercreamCakeArtist 08-05-2007 02:20 PM

It was hard to pick only one!!!

I'm glad everyone has liked my choice, so far!

mimisharon 08-06-2007 09:07 AM

Hey Girl, I love it. JUST found it though, I think we may need a section on the bb for just BOMs. It's hard to find them sometimes isn't it?

I'm going to the sewing machine, I am, right now, yep, gone..........

Norah 08-06-2007 09:52 PM

I'm with you, Sharon. They, Admin, can we have a separate category for the Boms? It is hard to find them after a few days even.

ShellyQ 08-07-2007 01:21 AM

Hi folks, are you enjoying the BOM as much as I am :-) On the main page there is a locked post called BOM Rules and List. In there you will usually find a link to both the latest BOM and Previous ones, For each BOM there is a link to the discussion as well as to the photos, hope this helps some :-)

mimisharon 08-07-2007 06:37 AM

Very smart of you Shelly, here I was going back back back through the pages looking for BOM on a search.....do I ever feel dumb!

no point in feeling dumb. 999 out of 1,000 people who drop in to ask questions NEVER bother to search first to see if we've already covered a topic [over and over and over again.]

Nobody seems to pay any attention to the blue threads at the top of each section.

And it doesn't seem that many people start at the beginning of a a thread, either. if we're up to page 14, that's where people looking at it for the first time jump in. we end up repeating ourselves many times in each thread. PLUS repeating the topics throughout several threads.

[I would also complain about the way we change the subject three or four times per thread, but I'm one of the WORST offenders, so that particular foible must be ok.  ]

And yet ... this is still the best organized and most fun quilting board i've seen so far. At least we're well enough organized to recognize it when we start wandering all over the place. And nice enough to put up with ourselves and each other when it happens. :P

Norah 08-07-2007 10:43 AM

Okay, I feel dumb, too. Patrice, I agree with everything you said, and I am a big offender too. But, all in all, we are GREAT!!!

ShellyQ 08-07-2007 10:56 AM

LOL, I agree this is the bestest quilting board around, actually bestest any type of board around :) Ooopsy gettin off topic again

ButtercreamCakeArtist 08-07-2007 10:58 AM

Topic. What topic? OH>...bom! LOl!

patricej 08-07-2007 02:05 PM

what's a BOM?

Yvonne 08-07-2007 03:34 PM

Weren't we just talking about the weather here? Oh, topics.

I agree with everybody! I am so very happy to have become a part of this fun group of folks. Thanks for letting me play too! You all are the best.
