No; I cut them with the 7/8 sizes, but I tried to be really accurate with the scant seams. The final block was pretty close to 12 1/2, just some slivers off the sides, one of which got too close to a point, but overall it worked!

I'm in the mood to sew this block today, but have to breakout one of my other machines. My "Monkey wards" machine broke it's belt last week and I had no spares. Found out that I had swiped the belt from my White rotary sometime ago so that wouldn't work either. I tried 6 different shops here and no belts. So waiting for it to come from FL. I'll break out the featherweight and sew today!

The blocks are all looking good!

I decided not to get out the Featherweight, I managed to use the one ziz-zag machine I have and did the paper piecing this morning. I like the completed block and will probably create a file for the instructions at making one at 6.5 with regular piecing. The picture is in the other thread, but the colors don't show up correctly. I think I need a new camera? My Polaroid digital is only about 15+ years old.
 :)

M-fay - do you want the paper piece pattern or the resize of the blocks to get it to a 6.5 inch block? All of our blocks are looking great. Today will be a sewing day since we are still recovering from the snow storm. One area of the yard that I could get to was 11 inches but the news said we had 13 -15 inches in my town. The wind was blowing so much that we have deep drifts in the yard.
