My calender says it's Tuesday. Play with the blocks, Watson, and post pictures of what you come up with.

I'm ready for the big reveal too Here's pic of this weeks clue. I have also done 45 inch by 57 inch, backing for it using tumbler shaped scraps. 350 on them!

very nice and interesting idea for back ....wow lots of tumblers, did you use any of the fabric choices you used on the front?

There was some. But I cut any old scraps into tumblers and mix them all up ready for use in backing. Then it's reversible.

Week 7: Are you ready?

So you've been wondering what are we going to do with these things if we aren't making blocks?

I love the look of medallion quilts set on point, but setting triangles drive me nuts. So what I came up with was this, all straight sets.

Lap quilt on the left, Queen quilt on the right.

Wow that's beautiful. Can't wait to get started thanks iceleopard

Here are "exploded" versions, if it will help you see better which blocks go where, That's not narrow white sashing between the blocks, but just blank space in the picture.

I found it easiest to piece this if I worked a row at a time. I printed out my pattern and folded it so only one row was visible at a time. Since rows #1 and #17 are identical, I worked on two rows at once so I could chain-piece them. Same with rows #2 and #16, and so on. Only the center row, #9, has no duplicate.

Very pretty. I am quilting a UFO at the moment. May have to set up another machine so I can put this one together. I get too many projects going at once. I really need to work on that problem.
