This is what I've pulled so far. I'm not thrilled by the black, but that's all I've got for a dark.
Will these work, IceLeopard? Watson |
Perfectly fine to make suggestions.
I'm trying to find a really dark teal, instead of the black. To tell you the truth, I own about two FQ's of brown in my entire stash. Watson |

Along the same lines, IceLeopard...what about this?
I wouldn't have enough of the teal for the 2" border I don't think, but I could do it in one of the other colours. Watson |
Hello, everybody.... Are the first instructions coming out tomorrow (Friday)? If not, when does this start?

Here are the fabrics I chose. I'm leaning towards the fabrics on the right.

Week 1
Ok, folks, for Week 1 I'm going to start you easy, so the ones debating over their fabric choices have a chance to catch up.
You are going to be cutting 3 1/2 inch squares. You will need 28 squares of fabric#1, 18 squares of fabric #2, and 4 squares of fabric #4. Is anyone making the queen size quilt? Or are you all sticking to the lap size? If you are making the queen-size you will need 42 squares of fabric#'1, 28 squares of fabric #2 and 4 squares of fabric #4. These will not be used to make any other components; they are going to be used as is. So bag them up and set them aside in whatever bag, bin, or box you're using to hold this project. Mod Edit per member request: the squares for the queen size should be 5 1/2 inches |
