It's really up to you. You could do white, blue, clouds, anything that says sky to you. You could embellish and make hills in the background. You could go romantic like Bunny Hill type of patterns and use very delicate, petite florals for the backgrounds and then do gingerbread type accents on your houses.

Whatever you want it to be.

Yes, all of those choices will be acceptable for the blocks to be chosen from. We are calling for houses & other buildings. A lot of them are not 12 1/2" but you can add fabric to them, to make them the correct size. Also, by doing this you can add any personalized touches that you would like too. I think it will be very fun & exciting!!
:D :D :D :D

Well, I just ordered Moda La Petit Ecole layers. I'm excited about this!

I've seen videos online using paper for piecing. How do all of you piece?

The only thing that I'd probably want to keep consistent is the sky/background. If all the houses are different there would be very little of each fabric needed.

I am glad to see your mock-up; thanks for taking the time to do this. It has really helped me see the fabric. I'm even considering a darker sashing and border because of it!

I am very new to QB and am interested in doing the Houses BOM. Do I just keep coming back to this site to find the blocks?
