December 2014 Block of the Month (Photos)
 

ok ... ok ... i know the block name is Green River, but you know me.

i found two ways to use this block in a top.
there might be more, but i only needed one, so two was a good enough place to stop.

these images are exported from EQ7.
the real top is still without a border, so i'll show that sometime down the road, once it's all done.

Hi Everyone, I loved making this block & it went together so quickly. I am interested in making myself a quilt using it too. So here is a picture of my block for December 2014!!

I used 2 different "brights" and 2 "different complimentary" heres my block[ATTACH=CONFIG]501337[/ATTACH]

Oh My Goodness M-Fay, your blocks have turned out awesome. I like how you have put them together to. I can't wait to see how it will look with the binding all done. Great Job!!

Marion...beautiful in all the pinks...you're fast! Will it be for one of the grandkids? I might get my block done in Jan. & then figure out how I want to put it together...I did a center for it, so will have to play with it. And the same with my mysterytrain...they will both have to wait till Jan.

This is going to be such a bright & cheery quilt...wonderful!

Here is my December block wanted to finished before it became too hectic this month. But now I am anxious to play with the layout. :)

Got mine finished...YEA! After the first of the year will start playing with how I want to put it together. There are going to be some pretty quilts when they are all done!:)

Ladies..............your blocks are gorgeous too!! :D I am getting more & more anxious to see photo's of all of them put together. This has been such a fun year & I thank every one who has participated in this adventure for 2014.

Here is my Dec. block and all of my blocks laid out. I had thought I might sash but now not sure. Any ideas on these 2 layouts would be helpful. I'm thinking maybe just add a couple borders to increase to lap size

Fun to play with the block isn't it. I usually lay blocks out and take a few day to walk by and take a look...it is too stop have photo as sometimes that is helpful in deciding also. :)

Mfay, It looks like you used a small sashing, is that correct? What size is it?
I'm thinking that might be another option for me & I have plenty of my focus fabric left but not much of the others.

Finally!...put my blocks on the bed so that I could get photos of them.
Like many of you, I am trying to figure out how to tie them together.
A sashing is my first thought but what color? How wide?
Or should I try something more creative? What would that be?

A little late, but finally got around to putting this top together. I love it and am keeping it for myself. The colors are so soft & I love the roses. No telling when I will get around to quilting it, but the top's done! :)
