Since I had the pattern from Jerrie early, I made two of the stars. The first one I did was regular paperpiecing. The second I used the freezer paper method where you don't stitch through the paper but fold it and stitch right along side the paper. I have decided that is my favorite way to do paperpiecing. I was thinking that when we get to the end of the year, it would be fun if everyone took a picture of all their blocks together. I know we won't have them quilted or even sewn together, but it would be fun to see everyones color schemes with all their stars just laid out.

My finished block also came in at 12"...along with points that didn't match up, etc. I'm really disappointed in how it came out and will have to redo it.
