Hi Everyone, Block 50 and the halfway point is met...6 months into this Journey..

I know there are blocks out there that are anxious to be shown so let's see them!!!

I actually have mine done on time for a change : ) (but don't get used it)

Nice blocks, here are mine.

Nice! Your Katherine turned out right. I realized mine was backwards after it was finished but I am going to keep it that way. I keep forgetting to check that on these types of blocks.

Here's Lady. I'm not going to make Katherine at this time. I'm not fond of the pattern.

Oh I love your red fabric, some of the blocks are tough, I hate Y seams.

Cute block Givio, but hey I thought the dish ran away with the spoon!

Pam, haha! My thoughts exactly, when I saw this fabric. I got it in a 5" charm swap and only ever saw just my 5" charm. The swapper had fussy cut the motif to the middle of the fabric. For this block, I had to cut the center piece in the corner of the charm, then used the rest of it for the other pattern pieces. I did seam one of the pieces, in the corner you can see the tip I sewed on, but still there wasn't enough, so I added a little plain red for the other pattern pieces, which was a good match to the background red of the print.

Here is my substitution for Katherine. My husband gave me violets for Valentine's Day this year, so this block will remind me of that when I see it in my quilt. It's by Linda Worland at www.paperpanache.com.

I'm soooo glad to be halfway-- at 50 blocks! Even if I stopped here, I'd have a lovely batch of blocks for a quilt.

Oh that's a pretty block! I love it!

SBG, I remember thinking that Lady block was a good one to put something cute in the center. You did it too. We thought alike with that! :-)

Jeanie, I need to put my 81 blocks together. I need to make a decision on how I will set them and then get going! Wish I had a design wall. I just use an empty bed.

GrannyQ, you are making good progress indeed! I am so impressed with your color choice and workmanship! My blocks are in the notebooks (two) and waiting...not yelling at me ....yet!

Thank you, Sewbiz. It's a mix of new, old, and vintage. These are all new from that little fabric shop where I bought some of their sample books with a charm pack, I guess it's called, of repro 30's fabric. These blocks have been so fun to make! I think I'm addicted :)
